ITV Love Island stars salaries before they entered the reality dating show

The stars of Love Island usually cash in after their stint in the South African villa as the brand deals roll in and they become social media sensations.

Companies such as Pretty Little Thing all make a beeline for the most popular contestants and many of the Islanders go on to make a pretty penny, although sometimes that's not always the case.

While some contestants such as Molly-Mae Hague and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu have gone on to find fame and wealth through lucrative brand partnerships and social-media sponsorships, others did not experience the glitz and glam they thought they signed up for.

Former Love Island contestant Ikenna Ekwonna revealed his salary more than halved since he took part in the dating show. Others were luckier, with Molly-Mae Hague, 23, holding an estimated net worth of £6million after online fashion brand PLT made her creative director.

Gemma Owen also reportedly bagged a £100,000 deal with the brand. However, many islanders on the ITV show were quite well off before they jetted across to take part in the reality dating show.

According to reports in The Mirror, here's the lowdown on their salaries before entering the South African villa.

Zara Deniz Lackenby- Brown (£72,000)

The 25-year-old model, actress and property developer had a jam-packed schedule before she went on Love Island.

The average salary for a model is £40,000 and as a property developer, the London-born star could be earning up to £32,000 depending on her level in the job role.

Zara also has 22,600 followers on Instagram, which could earn her between £100 and £180 per post on her social media.

Her total income could be around £72,000, according to the price comparison site Idealo.co.uk.

Olivia Hawkins (£67,000)

Ring girl Olivia, 27, was doing very well for herself before taking part in the ITV show according to the reports.

The aspiring actress was also a body double for celebrities including Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson.

The estimated salary of a ring girl is around £40,000, but with her roles in James Bond and music videos for Craig David and Tom Zanetti, Olivia could have brought home a healthy £67,000 per year.

Ron Hall (£40,000)

The financial advisor, 25, could be on a salary of £40,000, however, if he were to move up the ranks, the 25-year-old could command £60,000 for a senior role.

Lana Jenkins (£39,000)

Lana, 25, from Luton, is no stranger to the Celeb world as a make-up artist for the stars, who was recently pictured with Michelle Keegan on the set of Brassic.

A make-up artist can earn an average salary of around £39,000 or roughly £20 an hour depending on the size and scale of the job.

When she leaves the South African villa, false eyelash brand Eyelure could come knocking after the company worked with Millie Court, who won Love Island in 2021.

Shaq Muhammad (£29,000)

Shaq, 24, works in airport security in a job role which pays around £29,000 a year.

The Londoner has been on quite a rollercoaster of a journey on the ITV show having been dumped by now partner Tanya before the pair rekindled. Many are now predicting the 24-year-old could clean up if he wins the show with a string of lucrative brand deals.
