ITV Love Island star Danica Taylor looks loved-up with Jamie Allen in Manchester after Paige drama

Love Island star Danica Taylor looked loved-up with her man Jamie Allen as she hit the town in Manchester. The couple stuck up a romance towards the end of the series after Danica went through a rocky time on the ITV2 dating show.

The dancer looked stunning in a red figure-hugging mini dress and gold heels as she and Halifax Town footballer Jamie, who arrived as a latecomer in the final days of the eighth series, headed to Chinawhite on Deansgate. Danica sported a bronze makeup palette and a glossy mocha pout with her brunette locks worn in loose curls.

The smitten pair walked hand-in-hand after Danica said she wished she had confronted some of her fellow Islanders including Paige Thorne, 23, over their behaviour towards her in the famous TV villa. Danica, who joined the series as a bombshell arrival a couple of weeks after the launch show, said it made her wish she had confronted paramedic Paige over her reaction towards her.

During a dramatic dumping episode the boys had to choose one girl to send home. They had to pick between Danica, fellow bombshell Antigoni Buxton and original Islander Tasha Ghouri to leave the island.

Viewers spotted Paige mouthing her shock at Antigoni being sent home, asking 'what the actual is going on right on?' across the firepit. And Danica has now revealed she was aware of what was being said.

Speaking to On Demand Entertainment she commented about it: "Not gonna lie, watching it back, I've seen sort of the way Paige was when Antigoni left and it was very clear she wanted me to go. Like I've done nothing wrong and you're blatantly mouthing things across the firepit to insinuate like 'what the hell why is Danica still here?'"

She continued: "I actually think I wish I'd said 'you know what, do you know how that makes me feel?'" She added: "But again I've had time to move past that but I wish in the moment looking back I wish I'd said things."

Danica didn't have an easy start to her Love Island experience when shortly after her arrival she was asked to pick a boy to couple up with. After choosing Luca Bish he immediately ruled out a romantic connection and made it clear he was only focused Gemma Owen.

And she says looking back at the beginning of her journey makes her feel 'sad.' She explained: "I feel sad watching myself because I think I let a lot of things slide. Even with some of the girls I think none of them really warmed to me and even though I felt it in there because i was just so happy to be on the show and I was like 'just take it for what it is.'"

She added: "Because I didn't have a coupling I didn't have anyone to support me at the beginning. Watching it back I'm not angered I wish I'd have said 'you know what, you're not going to be rude and disrespectful to me like that.'

"I'm kind of glad I didn't say what I wanted to say in the beginning because the journey I had may have been completely different. I may have not made a connection friendship-wise with any of them because they might have held me to this fiery standard."

Less than a week before the show’s finale on August 1, during which Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti were crowned winners, Danica and Jamie found themselves dumped from the island after losing out in a public vote.

It was an emotional moment for the Islanders as Danica packed up her case. Before leaving the villa Danica told the girls: "I’m walking out of here with somebody who I genuinely think I’ve got quite a good connection with." She added: "I’m so proud of myself."

After leaving she added: "It’s still early days for me and Jamie but we just clicked. I remember the first night he came in and we were just talking. I didn’t know anything about him, I didn’t know where he lived, his family or his career but we’d spoken all night.

"I felt his energy and that he really liked me and wanted to get to know me for me - that is a feeling that I hadn’t felt with any of the other guys. When you know, you know and my gut was telling me that this guy likes me and wanted to get to know me. We get along, it’s just easy and natural and doesn’t feel forced. We both bring out the best in each other."

Meanwhile, speaking about whether the couple would keep something going on the outside, Jamie said: "Definitely - there’s no reason why not. That doesn’t change the connection we have. We’ve already talked about a few dates we’re going to tick off the list. We’re definitely going to see each other on the outside 100%."
