ITV Love Island spot problem with Davide's arrival home as Ekin-Su shares what they did next

Fans were eager to see the finalists of Love Island following the show's final on Monday (August 1). After eight weeks of love and drama, the 2022 series of the ITV2 dating programme came to an end with Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu being crowned the winners.

The loved-up pair took the title after winning over viewers with their fiery relationship in the Mallorcan villa, with many fans dubbing them the show's 'mum and dad'. And they didn't just pip runners-up Luca Bish and Gemma Owen to the title and the £50,000 prize money.

It was revealed on Tuesday (August 2) that Turkish actress Ekin-Su and Manchester business owner Davide, from Rome, scooped a whopping 63.69 percent of the public vote. Gemma and Luca finished in second with 14.47 per cent, while Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope claimed third with 11.77 per cent and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page were fourth with 10.07 per cent of the final public vote.

And after a couple of days in a holding villa, the Love Island finalist finally jetted back home and were reunited with their loved ones at London's Stansted Airport on Wednesday (August 3). Davide and Ekin-Su, both 27, couldn't keep their hands off each other as they stepped back on UK soil, sharing kisses for the cameras as the islanders were greeted by waiting family and friends.

Manchester business owner Davide proudly referred to actress Ekin-Su as his 'queen' as the pair were treated by a visit to the cockpit on the plane after they landed on home turf. Ekin-Su looked stunning in black vest top and leather-look trousers with her man who beamed alongside his partner in skinny black jeans and a grey hooded top.

And it was Davide's outfit that appears to have caused a stir among fans. @harrisonjbrock tweeted: "I can’t believe Davide wears spray on jeans from river island circa 2018 … trauma," alongside a photo of Davide and Ekin-Su looking excited as they burst through the doors of the airport.

@_Addow said: "I know he was in shorts for 2 months pretty much but Davide let your legs breathe bro. Them jeans are tighttttt." @loveekinde shared: "Ok Davide is the only man i’m gonna tolerate these ridiculous skinny jeans on." @hibellalyay shared: "@ekinsuofficial can you please hide all of Davide’s skinny jeans." @dojabins added: "People being confused about whether Davide’s pants are jeans or leggings and not confused enough about how he got them on in the first place."

After their public welcome at the airport, the four couples headed their separate ways with Ekin-Su sharing what her and Davide got up to - and that was tucking into a takeaway. She shared a short clip of the pair to her Instagram Story with Davide smiling and saying: "Chinese and chill," as his partner faces the camera towards him.

But it appears Davide hasn't given his new partner any time to chill at all, revealing they're already back to working out in the gym. Ekin-Su wrote on Twitter: "First day back and Davide has dragged me to the gym. I’m really a gym babe now." Davide seemed more took to Instagram to share clips of the pair working out. He captioned a video on his Instagram stories: "Fit couple back at it @ekinsuofficial."
