Love Island star Tom Clare has come under fire from viewers over a moment that is yet to air on the main programme. Viewers tuning in the ITV2 dating show on Sunday night (February 26) watched as Claudia Fogarty and Casey O'Gorman appeared to drift further apart after they were split by the arrival of two new bombshells.
At the end of last week, newcomers Rosie Seabrook and Keanan Brand had barely any time to settle into the villa before islanders received a text telling them to gather around the fire pit. And their choices ruffled feathers as 24-year-old Rosie, an industry placement adviser from Buckinghamshire, chose to couple with Casey, while Wigan rugby player Keanan, also 24, opted to couple up with Claudia Fogarty meaning the former couple had been split.
The shake-up also saw Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad set aside their previous arguments and recouple – leaving Casa Amor bombshell Martin Akinola single which lead to him subsequently being dumped from the South African villa.

However, it was Rosie's decision that left 28-year-old business owner Claudia, who is the daughter of former motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty, in tears, telling a number of the female islanders: "I never thought this would happen to me, I never thought I’d get this attached."
But Casey appeared less troubled by Rosie’s choice, and while confiding in Will Young about Claudia, Casey said: "I just feel we’re at different stages." He added: "It’s hard because when she tells me she really likes me and there’s no-one else, I don’t know what to say to make her feel better."
Speaking in the beach hut, Casey elaborated: "It’s difficult because I don’t want to string two people along and I don’t want to make Claudia feel like she’s second best… But I’m happy that Rosie is interested in me." Rosie and Casey also spoke about their growing connection, with Casey saying: "You’ve come in and it’s just changed everything from me."
He added: "I didn’t think my head would move from Claudia and it really has." Later, Rosie told Casey: “You definitely tick a lot of what I would look for in somebody."
Then, as the episode drew to a close, Claudia made her feelings clear to Casey. I never wanted to be someone’s option,” she said before adding: "I’m not here to waste time." To which a stubborn Casey replied: "I’ve got to put my feelings first in this."
At the end of the show, it was revealed that Monday night (February 27) will see the return of the infamous Snog, Marry, Pie challenge. And during Sunday's episode of Aftersun with host Maya Jama, viewers were treated to a first look at the latest game, which will see all of the Islanders choose someone to kiss, give a ring to or pie, resulting in Islanders having cream pies chucked in their faces.
But only the girls can choose the boys and vice versa. And having gotten close to Claudia in the villa it appears Tom decides to get revenge for as the footballer uses his three choices to throw a pie in Rosie's face when she's not expecting it, before claiming his reason is due to his support for heartbroken Claudia.
The brief clip appeared to show Claudia laugh while the other female islanders watched in surprise. "I decided to pie Rosie because Claudia is my girl, and us Northerners stick together," Tom, from Barnsley, claimed. But Love Island fans didn't seem to back his decision.
@aliyalangley tweeted: "Tom pieing Rosie is so unnecessary. She’s a new girl in there and she’s doing what she’s supposed to do it’s not her fault that Casey likes her. #loveisland #loveislandaftersun." @somewhatofabrit said: "Tom pieing the new babe just for claudia? what happened to kindness #loveisland #aftersun." @iamarwa__ fumed: "Tom pieing rosie and not olivia is just ridiculous #loveisland."
