ITV Love Island's Luca Bish says he's 'ready for next chapter' after arriving back in UK

ITV Love Island 's Luca Bish put paid to any split rumours between him and partner Gemma Owen ahead of the reality show's reunion special this weekend. The fishmonger, from Brighton, has fought off speculation that he and dressage rider Gemma split after the pair were seen enduring a frosty taxi ride home.

Speaking to a photographer about Gemma, Luca is said to have claimed: "She's got the right hump with me!" But his Instagram posts have quickly put those rumours to rest.

The snap, of the couple at the reunion show special, shows the two beaming behind tinted sunglasses. It's Luca's first post on his social media since regaining control of it from his sister, who ran it on his behalf.

Luca's caption read: "Back to the real world. Thank you so much for all the support you’ve shown.

"Love Island was the best and also most challenging experience all rolled into one for me. I’ve left with life lessons, best friends, and a beautiful girl by my side."

He finished off by saying he was "so ready for the next chapter". Luca and Gemma have yet to become an "official" couple, with the fishmonger promising to ask Gemma to be his girlfriend in a special gesture outside.

Gemma and Luca came second in the UK's biggest reality dating show, claiming 14.7% of the public vote. It was a huge leap behind this season's winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti who landed 63.69% of the vote.

Fans showed their support for the couple though with thousands of comments on Luca's post and Gemma's similar one. One said: "Can't wait to see what this chapter has in store for you!"

A second fan said: "My comfort couple" while others gushed, "Gorgeous couple".

This weekend's reunion episode is expected to be firey as all contestants, with the exception of Gemma's ex-Jacques O'Neill, reunite after returning home from the villa. Tune in on ITV2 and ITV Hub on Sunday 7 August at 9pm.
