ITV Love Island's Gemma Owen works with dad Michael for first time since reality fame after opening up on Luca romance

Love Island's Gemma Owen has made a hilarious dig at her dad Michael as they were together for the first time since she found reality TV fame this summer. The 19-year-old was the youngest singleton who headed to Majorca for the 2022 edition of the ITV2 dating series.

Despite initially being partnered with early exiter Liam Llewellyn and stolen by Davide Sanclimenti, it was Luca Bish who Gemma ended up finding a romantic connection with and after several weeks in the famous villa, the loved-up pair emerged as runner-up to eventual winners Davide and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

Following the show's grand final in August, former Liverpool and Manchester United ace Michael was delighted to have Gemma back home. At the time, he shared a photo sitting with Gemma on the "dreaded" yellow bean bag which she has brought home with her - as both beamed on the lawn of the family's £4m mansion. And Michael shared his relief at finally having Gemma home after two months away in the famous TV villa.

And now, the pair have decided to team up on a work project for the first time. They star in a new Amazon Prime advert filmed at the former footballer's family mansion. It sees the 42-year-old reach out to accept a delivery for 'the big deal of the house', but the striker was left taken aback when Gemma sweeps in to claim the package for herself.

When a courier rings the doorbell, telling Michael: 'I've got a package for the boss... the big deal of the house,' he replies: 'Is that for me? Thank you so much.' But Gemma appears and asks if it's for her. Gemma then takes the parcels, and the delivery driver tells her dad: "Well, she is a big deal".

Later, the clip shows Michael telling the Amazon worker how he has been in the industry for 25 years, and that he very much is "a big deal". Gemma shared the advert with her millions of followers on Instagram on Tuesday. Captioning the post, she joked: "Our acting skills definitely aren’t a big deal," with a crying laughing emoji.

And fans were quick to react. @gezk5 said: "Love this! You're such a legend." @rosesandrainboots commented: "Oh my gosh. This is brilliant!" @rosesandrainboots wrote: "Oh my gosh. The ad also showed off the Owen family's stunning mansion which boasts an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and horse stables. The Amazon ad only gives a glimpse of the sprawling driveway and the exterior of the home, but viewers do get a glimpse of Michael checking on his golden boots from inside the property.

Despite finding falling for boyfriend Luca, 23, Gemma, who signed a reported six-figure deal with Pretty Little Thing, has stayed living at her family home and recently revealed she has no plans to move. "We’re living separately, but it’s fine,” she told OK!. "Whenever we’re free, he’ll either come up to Cheshire or I’ll go down to Brighton."

She added: "If we’re both busy in London, we’ll always find time [to see each other]. But at the moment I’m still in Cheshire because I’ve got everything there." And it seems that Luca has been a huge hit with Gemma’s family, including Michael, as she revealed their first meeting in Portugal over the summer "couldn’t have gone better".

"It was so nice," she told the publication. "We got away for four days. It was a bit of chill time – it was a really nice environment for him to meet everyone."
