ITV Love Island's Ekin-Su in tears over Davide's 'forever' gesture as epic dates begin despite viewers' prediction

With days to go until the 2022 Love Island final, it is time for the remaining couples to go on their final dates of the series. And it looks like it's going to get emotional.

During Wednesday night's edition of the ITV2 dating show, viewers watched the couples become first-time parents - sort of. Following the dumping of Danica and Jamie, the remaining contestants woke to the cries of children as they were each assigned a new arrival to look after in the annual baby challenge.

They were soon getting stuck into their duties when the girls got a text to say they were treated to an al fresco lunch. While there, they discussed their futures with their partners, and Ekin-Su Culculoglu revealed she feels ready for children of her own with partner Davide. She told the girls: "I think I’m ready guys."

The Turkish actress added: "To see him [Davide] as a dad, please god, just give me some babies now!" The pair have had an up and down time in the villa in the last eight weeks, with Ekin's head being turned leaving Davide taking the initial rejection badly. However, they have since found a way back to each other with fans calling them the 'mum and dad' of the villa thanks to their rowing one minute and making up the next.

A preview for Thursday night's Love Island reveals that Ekin-Su and Davide will be whisked off on a nighttime epic date. They will be seen arriving at a breathtaking colosseum-style setting, complete with a surprise guest singer - none other than Alfie Boe. As the pair are serenaded, an almost speechless Ekin-Su admits how she’s feeling.

She tells Davide: "I feel like I’m in a dream," before Italian business owner Davide, who lives in Manchester, made a sweet gesture to his partner. Davide toasts to them saying: “To our beautiful experience and hopefully we will last forever - it will last forever.”

Ekin-Su adds: "This is probably the most romantic date I’ve ever been on in my life. I just can’t get over this. It’s everything I’ve always wanted.” Becoming tearful over the music it seems the pair aren’t finished with their romantic confessions.

Meanwhile, Adam and Paige set sail for the first of this year’s epic dates. Aboard a stunning boat, the pair discuss their feelings for each other and how they see things going once they leave the villa. Later, It’s time for a fiesta for Dami and Indiyah as they’re invited to enjoy their final date together.

Arriving in a quiet local town, the pair get a fright when they hear the sound of drums starting. Suddenly the pair are in amongst a street party like no other, with drummers and flamenco dancers. And as Dami discusses moving from Ireland to London to be with her as "it makes sense" - it seems he has something else to say to Indiyah…

The dates come despite Love Island fans thinking another dumping couple be imminent. @sade1505 tweeted: "Wait...how come they've already shot the final dates for the top 4 when there's still one more voting/dumping?? #LoveIsland." @IrmaGrace26 said: "One couple still gotta go to take it down to the final four. Let’s be real it will either be #damiyah or #tandrew but let’s make it #guca !! Luca and Gemma #LoveIsland."

@naytomyta wrote: "The final 5 couples go on dates and meet the parents and then dumping on sunday before the final #loveisland." @jessgardss commented: "Surely its gonna be meeting the parents tomorrow night?? Parents thursday, final dates friday, final dumping sunday???? #LoveIsland."
