Love Island star Dami Hope has defended Indiyah Polack after she appeared to come under fire for her choice of outfit. The couple are still fresh out the Mallorcan villa after finishing in third place in this year's edition of the ITV2 reality dating show.
Having already become 'boyfriend and girlfriend' and dropping the love bomb during their eight weeks in the Spanish sun, the couple are already moving to the next step.
Dami, from Dublin, took to Instagram to share the moment he headed to see his grandma, or 'Grams', while in London. The 26-year-old filmed himself knocking on her door before she appears and embraces him as he makes his way into her home. "One of my true loves grams," he captioned the sweet clip that saw him scream as he cuddled her.
He was then later reunited with his girlfriend Indiyah as she came bounding down the street to meet him. In one of the videos the pair cuddled up as Indiyah declared they were 'reunited'. She then headed inside to meet a few more of his relatives for the first time following the 'Meet the Parent's episode of Love Island at the end of last month.
First, it was Dami's uncle as the islander asked his new partner: "Do you think he looks like me," to which she jokingly repliedd: "He's a bit better looking you know." Then it was time for Indiyah's big meeting with his grandmother. They both looked very happy to finally see each other as they danced towards each other before hugging.
Dami said: "This is my grams, she literally changed her outfit and put perfume on just to meet this girl. They're still hugging 20 seconds after I posted this."
He then filmed Indiyah outside in the London sunshine as she appeared to be on the phone Dami said: "Sis is meeting the whole family through FaceTime. Cousins, aunties, uncles, you name it."
But it appears the adorable moment was overshadowed by Indiyah's outfit. The 23-year-old could be seen donning a pair of black cargo trousers which she paired with a white crop top which was printed with two bare breasts and chain detailing linking the two. Appearing in the back of a car, Dami said to the camera on his Instagram Story: "Obviously stop coming at my girl because I told her to wear this, this spectacular top."
Indiyah added: "This is in light of Dami losing his nipple piercing." Dami then insisted to followers: "My grandmother loves it so, we don't care."
Last week, the pair revealed they were taking things one step at a time after Dami suggested moving to London from his native Dublin during the reality series. When asked if the pair had plans to move in together following the Love Island final, Indiyah said: "I feel like eventually, yeah. Dami wants to come to London."
Dami added: "I'm going to move to London but I don't know if we'll get our own place so soon." But Indiyah commented: "Not straight away. We have to look around, spend time, meet families and stuff and do it when the time is right. I feel like it won't be an issue because we've spent so much time together and we know that we can live together."
