Love Island's Liam Llewellyn has become the second 2022 contestant to discover who Gemma Owen’s father is.
The 22-year-old from Wales was coupled up with Gemma, 19, during the first few days of this year’s series, which began on June 6.
However, throughout the series so far, Gemma has yet revealed the identity of her famous father, former professional footballer Michael Owen.

Meanwhile on Friday (June 10), Liam announced his departure from the ITV series. He explained to his fellow islanders that he hadn’t “been himself” since arriving in the Spanish and added: “I know what 100 per cent Liam is and I’m miles off that.”
It was not until the lead-up to his Love Island: Aftersun appearance, Liam was finally informed by ITV producers who Gemma’s dad was, to which he could not contain his shock.
Liam said: “I can’t believe who that actually was. That’s mad. I’m a Newcastle United fan. I actually have one of his tops when he came to the club.”
He continued: “That first night, we were chatting about football and her family. I was so close. I can’t believe I didn’t quite work it out.”
The only other contestant who would certainly know of the news, would be newcomer Jacques O’Neill who, prior to joining the villa, once dated Gemma.
Despite his knowledge, Jacques has seemingly been tight-lipped about Gemma’s father, as Gemma’s current partner, Luca Bish, isn’t yet aware.
Until then, viewers can only wait to find out if Gemma decides to disclose the intriguing information to Luca and the other contestants.
