The seven remaining boys on Love Island took control of proceedings as the villa's dynamics were rocked by a fourth recoupling of the series. It came after this week's double elimination and "bombshell" arrivals of Antigoni Buxton and Charlie Radnedge left four contestants without a partner.
On Friday's episode of the ITV dating series, Indiyah Polack was notified of the imminent recoupling by text. It read: “Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling. The boys will choose which girl they want to couple up with. #bigswitchenergy #bedswap”.
The contestants later gathered around the fire pit as the boys made their choices, starting with Luca Bish and ending with Jacques O’Neill. Only one couple ended up staying together, with Davide Sanclimenti's choice to pair up with Antigoni Buxton despite kissing Danica Taylor being the biggest shock of the night.

@unfilteredmeee posted: "I’ve never seen a more unhappy recoupling".
@princesscynbb commented: "Wait what tf tonight there has been bare twists".
@lyds231 added: "POOR DANICA POOR GIRL HASN’T HAD A CHANCE".
