Love Island fans were left making the same complaint as they watched Maya Jama return to screens as she was joined by this year's string of islanders and bombshell contestants to get all the gossip just days after the final of the second-ever winter series.
On Sunday night (March 19), the host was back in charge as the ITV2 dating show hosted its 'explosive reunion just a week after the grand final of the first of two 2023 series' took place in South Africa.
The final, which took place last Monday (March 13), saw Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan beat fellow couples Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, who landed up in second place, and Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, who finished in third position, and host Maya Jama return to the South African villa. Tanya Mahenga and Shaq Muhammad placed fourth following a public vote.

It was revealed later that the Manchester PE and Science teacher and the social worker, from Bedford, were viewers' clear winners as they walked away with a huge 44 per cent of the whole final public vote, ahead of Lana and Ron's second place of 30%. Tom and Samie took 24% of the final voting figures but it was bad news for Shaq and Tanya as, despite being the first couple to drop the 'L-bomb' before making their relationship official on their final date, as they claimed just 2% of the final vote.
But the talk wasn't on their win during the reunion as Lana and Ron were forced to address feud rumours after they were spotted 'having a row' on their flight home following the final of Winter Love Island while Shaq didn't hold back as he faced Martin Akinola about comments he made about his girlfriend, Tanya.
Tanya was coupled up with Shaq from day one but had her head turned by Martin in Casa Amor, before going back to her original partner. As Tanya and Shaq appeared on the much-anticipated reunion show, after the loved-up pair caught up with Maya about their first week out of the villa, the presenter invited Martin onto the sofa to look back over the trio's love triangle.
But things soon got a bit heated as Shaq slammed Martin for the "disgusting" comments he made about Tanya during an appearance on the Reality podcast and he said he had degraded her with his words.
Despite things getting heated on the special show, Love Island fans had the same complaint. @michellekteng tweeted: "Why are the producers rushing the process?! reunions take thyme [sic] and they’re leaving us with censored crumbs #loveisland." @planetfender said: "I’m sorry I don’t want them to be rushing like let the reunion be 2 hours even, I wanna hear EVERYTHING #LoveIsland."
@chattyreality echoed: "The reunion should be two hours man what is all this rushing #loveisland." @beyonddreamin shared: "They are really rushing this reunion ugh #loveisland." @Shxms_ added: "How boring why are they rushing the juicy parts to ask about whose smashing who? If time was an issue why did you have that raggedy performance in the beginning? #loveisland."
