ITV Love Island fans beg Tasha to do one thing after 'hypocrite' Luca called out

Fans of ITV Love Island were glued to their screens during Friday night's episode as the Islanders finally got a chance to see what their other halves have been up to while the cameras are rolling. The reality series' iconic Movie Night returned, leaving Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Gemma Owen and Billy Brown red-faced as awkward scenes were played out on the big screen.

But before Movie Night got underway, the Islanders had to endure a tense gathering around the firepit as the results of the latest public vote-off were revealed. Six contestants faced being booted out of the villa but, in the end, it was Andrew's former flame Coco Lodge and Casa Amor boy Josh Le Grove who were told to leave.

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, who had just that evening made their on-off relationship official, found themselves in the bottom three couples yet again, which left Tasha emotional as she sought comfort from her girls. As she sat on the day beds chatting to pals Paige Thorne and Gemma about her popularity among the public, Luca Bish decided to put forward his own opinion - and it didn't go down well.

Luca said he understands "it's not nice being in the bottom three" but added that he couldn't understand why she was so upset when she'd just "made someone your boyfriend". Tasha butted in, telling him: "I know I have Luca but at the same time it's a knockback". She told the Islanders her confidence had been "knocked down thousands", adding that Luca hadn't been in that situation himself.

Tasha hit out at Luca for "coming at" her before walking away from the conversation. Paige quipped in with "There's a time and a place," before going after her friend. Later, despite partner Gemma attempting to explain why Tasha was upset by his comment, Luca said he would not be apologising for his remarks.

Luca and Tasha eventually reconciled after he did say sorry for "coming over the way I did". But when the Islanders took their seats for Movie Night later in the episode, fans called out the fishmonger for being a "hypocrite" after seeing his reaction to a conversation Gemma had with Billy.

With the boys sat at one table and the girls at another, the groups had to text their answer to a trivia question. The group that answered correctly were then allowed to choose a clip from a list of movie titles as they nervously munched on buckets of popcorn waiting to see what secrets would be revealed in the challenge.

The boys chose to view a clip entitled "She's just not that into you" after getting their second question correct. The movie featured two clips of Gemma.

The first showed her agreeing with Dami's 'prediction' that Luca was more into Gemma than she was into him, and that her head could be turned by someone if they were the right person. The second showed her having a conversation with Billy, who had his arm around her, while Luca watched on from the beanbags. Gemma told him: "Friends can't hug" as he joked about feeding her crisps.

Luca fumed as he watched the clip branding Billy a "liar". He told him: "You were f***ing cracking on with her. Mate, that was f***ing flirting, don't deny it." As Billy tried to deny it, Luca hit back: "I don't care, you can crack on, it's Love Island but it was flirting and I was made out to be a f***ing idiot for it!"

Turning to pals Dami and Andrew, Luca whispered: "I can't stand f*cking liars. I got made out to be overprotective or whatever, mate I saw you crack on." Luca's emotional reaction raised eyebrows among Love Island fans as they recalled his comments to Tasha earlier in the show.

@becasaraip wrote: "I get all they see Tasha do, is cry. But we all know that if any of the other islanders had been in the bottom 3, 3 TIMES IN A ROW, they’d be distraught as well. Esp Luca, he has a full mental breakdown another man breaths in Gemma’s vicinity. They’re hypocrites."

@sideraiuliae commented: "the way luca has been so nasty to tasha for being upset when he is the most insecure one in there lol hypocrite". @LuvRm888 said: "Luca is such a hypocrite not him getting annoyed at tasha overreacting and now look at him".

Some fans wanted to see Tasha speak up about Luca's 'double standards' after she was knocked down by the fellow Islander for getting upset. @nxjmahali said: "I’m just sick of the constant double standards and sexism this season. Luca and Davide are the same as Tasha except they don’t shed tears so it’s honestly hypocritical for them to speak on her that manner and dictate what upsets her or not as if they are experts. they needa chill"

@tobikyere said: "Tasha should tell Luca to focus on the positives", while @deverauxsssoaks suggested: "Tasha should tell Luca to calm down and control his emotions!!"

@khatija_says echoed the sentiment, saying: "I really need tasha to tell luca to calm down, he still has gemma, lots to be happy about."

Movie Night also caused drama for Turkish actress Ekin-Su and her partner Davide Sanclimenti after the boys chose to watch “I know what Ekin-Su did last summer.” It showed the 27-year-old getting intimate in Casa Amor with another boy and later asking him to keep it a secret, having told her partner that nothing happened while she was away.

In the beach hut, Davide said: “Apparently she had something in Casa Amor with that boy … the point is not that she had something, the point is that why you lied again. Why you, Ekin-Su, need to lie to me.”

Love Island continues at 9pm on Saturday on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
