ITV Love Island boys 'in trouble' as Gemma and Luca bond with the bombshells and find common ground

Twelve new bombshells are set to shake things up for the contestants on Love Island after the dreaded Casa Amor opened its doors in Friday night's episode. The girls were sent out of the villa under the guise that they were going for drinks on the ITV dating contest.

While the girls are getting to know the new boys at Casa Amor tonight (Sunday July 3) it all becomes clear to the boys in the main villa what has really happened to them. The boys receive a text which reads: “Boys, as you know the girls went out for drinks earlier this evening. They will be staying away for a few days. Please now pack them a case for their trip. #DontWaitUp #CasaAmor."

Davide Sanclimenti predicts there will be “six sexy girls to have fun with us and enjoy our time." And their time on the island could be on shaky ground despite the boys' declarations of devotion to the girls.

Jacques O'Neill says: “I am not gonna find someone better than Paige in three days, give me a year and I don’t think I’d find anyone suited more.” And Luca Bish agrees: “I’ve been waiting a year for a girl like Gemma.”

But as they're greeted by six new girls. Dami Hope, who is coupled up with Indiyah Polack, says: "These girls are phenomenal, they’re beautiful. Literally, no jokes about it. I’m not gonna lie… I feel like we’re in trouble. I think we’re in trouble man." And Jacques says: “Santa’s delivered trust me… he has brought every single present I wanted."

Gemma and Jack chat (ITV)

Over in Casa Amor dressage rider Gemma Owen, the daughter of footballing star Michael Owen, and Jack Keating, the son of singer Ronan Keating, are cooling off at the side of the pool and they bond as the topic of conversation turns to families. Jack says: “My mum and my little sister are big into show jumping and everything like that. I know you’re big into it as well.”

Gemma says: “Oh ok, oh wow!” She then asks: “So your mum is a showjumper? So what does your dad do?” And Jack replies: “He’s a singer.” Gemma asks: “A well-known singer?” And Jack answers: “Yeah he is, you know Ronan Keating? That’s the old man”

Noting how important her family is to her, Gemma asks: “So you’re really family orientated?” Jack agrees, saying: “I’m very family orientated. It would be something I’d definitely look for in a girl. I’ve got a big crazy family back home.”

Luca chats to Mollie (ITV)

And in the main villa Gemma's Love Island partner Luca finds common ground with newcomer Mollie. As they relax on the bean bags she says: “I thought I’d pull you for a chat and just see what you’re about.” And she tells the fishmonger: “Guess what? My last name’s Salmon.”

Luca exclaims: “No, it’s not!” And Mollie replies: “I swear to you. Luca Bish, Mollie fish!” Asking about his coupling with Gemma, Mollie asks: “So are you quite open still, or semi-closed?”

He says: “I’m semi-closed, yeah. But you just don’t know what’s happening over there. Listen, if someone were to come in here. It would take something special, and you don’t know.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
