ITV Love Island bombshell quits show before entering villa

A prospective contestant has reportedly pulled out of ITV dating show Love Island before he had even been jetted out to the Spanish sunshine. Zach Hartman, a male model, was due to be flown to Majorca this week, but is said to have turned down the opportunity before he was even able to make his bombshell debut at the brand new villa.

This is the second blow Love Island has faced so far this series, as Welsh contestant Liam Llewellyn walked out last week, just days after this year's contestants entered the villa. While Liam gave the feeling that he was not 'giving 100%' as his reason for leaving the show, Zach has reportedly 'decided against' the opportunity to turn heads in the villa to focus on his career as a model.

Zach, who has appeared in campaigns for huge brands including Jack Wills, Ralph Lauren and ASOS, is said to have told friends that he turned down the opportunity. As a result, bosses had to scramble to replace the model.

According to The Sun, Zach told pals: "I was meant to be going on Love Island this year and flying out this week. After long conversations with my family and thinking about what I wanted out of my career, I decided against it."

Zach then reportedly criticised the techniques used by this year's contestants. He said: "Would’ve been an easy year to win seeing as none of the guys have any game on there, but I've got to do what's best for me."

The model's name had been rumoured as a prospective Islander for some time, with it being anticipated that he would be entering the show as a 'bombshell' after this year's series had kicked off. With Liam Llewellyn leaving the show after just a few days last week, two new male bombshells will be dropped on the villa in tonight's episode (June 14).

One of the two singletons said to be entering the villa tonight is Jay Younger. The 28-year-old investment banker from Edinburgh will be sent in tonight, with the hopes that he will turn a few heads and give the other boys some competition.

Ahead of his expected debut on tonight's show, one of his friends told The Sun: "Jay’s a very good looking guy and will get plenty of attention in the villa.

"His pals are surprised that he's signed up as he’s quite serious and likes his privacy. He’s also obsessed with the gym and his diet, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can relax in the villa and spend time getting to know the girls rather than focusing on his own body."
