Lorraine viewers were left fuming during the latest edition of the show as they gave away a 'spoiler' to the show everyone seems to be talking about. Ranvir Singh was back in the hosting seat as she fills in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled ITV show until after Christmas.
During her latest stint at the helm of the show on Wednesday (December 21), the Good Morning Britain star was joined by Amanda Lovett who has been seen on-screen in BBC's The Traitors. The reality/challenge show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, plays on the contestants' psychology.
The 22 contestants must decide who they can trust while residing in a grand Scottish castle. A small group of the participants are secretly selected by Claudia to be ‘traitors’, after which the remaining ‘faithfuls’ get eliminated by being ‘murdered’ by the traitors. Meanwhile, the traitors can be ‘banished’ if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful. And winners could walk away with £120,000.
During the penultimate episode of the 12-part series on Tuesday night, viewers watched Amanda chatting about being banished from the castle. But it appears fans of The Traitors hadn't quite caught up with the latest installment.
@pipt666 tweeted: "Thanks for letting us know who went out of traitors #lorraine." @LizzyLizzL1z fumed: "No point me watching The Traitors now ffs #Lorraine." @Gnaes complained: "Thanks #lorraine @ITV just blurt out the results of The Traitors without a spoiler warning why don't you!! No need to watch it now!"
@bootgirl45 echoed: "Nice one @lorraine. Massive spoiler for The Traitors, thanks for ruining it for me as was gonna watch it this morning. Absolutely no point now." @missohlola replied: "Must admit i am shocked they did this spoiler so early, i actually did see it but i don't always get to watch it the same night so i feel your annoyance here." But @Charlie017463 added: "Not a spoiler once it's aired unfortunately."
For those who did see The Traitors, there was a shock as Wilf Webster turned on Amanda in another shock betrayal. The 54-year-old real estate agent from Wales had almost managed to go undetected from the contestants as being a traitor and even turned on Theo Mayne, deciding to vote him out despite calling him her most trusted friend.
But since leaving the show, Amanda has shared how she is 'enjoying’ the attention and shared how she feels about being labelled a gay icon. "To be called an icon of the gay community is absolutely fantastic," she said during her interview on Lorraine. "I am loving the love," she added.
