ITV Loose Women taken off air for days and replaced

Loose Women viewers will be without their regular panel show fix as it has been revealed that the show has been taken off air. The ITV lunchtime show, which features four famous faces interviewing celebrity guests and discussing a variety of topical subjects, usually appears on-screen at 12.30pm from Monday to Friday.

Monday's show (March 13) went ahead as usual with Ruth Langsford heading up the panel alongside Katie Piper, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter. However, viewers won't be seen the show in its usual slot for the rest of the week.

Loose Women will not air from Tuesday (March 14) to Friday (March 17) as ITV presents coverage of the Cheltenham Festival for the rest of the week. Cheltenham Festival begins today (Tuesday) and ITV will show five races live across the four days of coverage.

While fellow ITV shows Good Morning Britain and This Morning will air as usual, ITV Lunchtime News will move to the earlier slot of 12.30pm, with coverage of the Cheltenham races beginning at 1pm, with Ed Chamberlin at the hosting helm, before finishing at 4.30pm each day.

However, there is a slight change on Wednesday, with coverage of the Cheltenham races set to begin at the later time of 2pm. ITV will instead air an ITV News Special on the Chancellor’s 2023 Budget from 12:15pm, meaning This Morning will be shortened by 15 minutes.

Loose Women is then expected to return as normal from Monday, March 20. Ruth briefly explained the changes at the end of the Monday's programme, saying: "We’ll be off for the rest of the week for the Cheltenham races, but we’ll see you next Monday."
