ITV Loose Women's Frankie Bridge describes 'awkward' doctor's appointment but says 'everything's fine'

ITV Loose Women star Frankie Bridge has told her fans about an "awkward" doctor's appointment and has issued them with a simple piece of advice. Speaking on her Instagram story, The Saturdays singer said she wasn't feeling as fresh as she would have liked during a day filled with appointments, as it came the day after a "mental" lunch with her Loose Women co-stars.

She then described a tricky encounter with a doctor, where she said she would have dressed differently if she knew what the test involved, the Manchester Evening News reports. She told her 1.5 million followers: "Excuse how I look. We had the Loose lunch yesterday and as I'm sure you can imagine, it was a bit of a mental one.

"I got there at two and I think I left about half nine so you can imagine how good I'm feeling today and I've had a day of appointments."

She then went on to say that she had had a blood test, which she had been "such a child" about, before adding: "Especially when you've been drinking that night before was not enjoyable."

The 33-year-old explained that she had then had to go for an electrocardiogram [ECG]. She reassured her fans that everything was "fine" but said she had suffered a bit of a mishap.

"I've never had one of those before and for some reason in my head I was going to be running." she said. "So I went down in the lift with the woman that does it and I said, 'what actually happens in this thing?' and she said, 'It's really quick'."

The nurse then explained to Frankie that running was not required in the test. The singer continued: "Then I went in and I did my typical thing, I didn't wear a bra today and I never think about this when I go to appointments and stuff. I didn't really know how this thing works and she said, 'Take everything off from the waist up but you can leave your bra on.'"

Frankie then explained that she was permitted to keep her top on instead but this still led to problems. "She asked me to pull my top up so I was literally laying on ther bed with my top around my neck and my boobs sticking up and she felt really close. I was just really uncomfortable.

"She then had to stick some of the things down my side so I didn't really know where to put my arms. So I kept awkwardly moving my arms around and just feeling like this was a really unnecessary awkwardness with someone that probably could just have been quite easy."

Frankie added: "So yeah... If you're going for an ECG guys, wear a bra!"

It comes after Frankie recently opened up about one of her recent therapy sessions. The mum-of-two, who is married to former footballer Wayne Bridge, posted a selfie showing her 'puffy eyes' and red nose, as she wore a cosy blue sweater.

She wrote: "Those after therapy puffy eyes and a red runny nose... cos Christmas isn't all parties and presents."

Frankie later spoke about the post on the Loose Women panel and reflected on the therapy session. She said she loved Christmas, describing herself as 'Mrs Claus', but also admitted struggling with the pressure of keeping everyone happy.

She explained: "Actually this time of year comes a lot of pressure. You can't necessarily do exactly what you want to do, you're travelling here, there and everywhere, you're trying to keep everyone happy. Although it is something I love, I find when I'm supposed to feel happy in a situation, I feel that pressure."

She then added: "I am literally Mrs Claus, I love Christmas, I love the lead up to it, I love the decorations. I was just aware I had this low moment and I thought I'm gonna share it because all anyone's seeing is me out having all my Christmas parties and out with the girls, and it all looks fun and games."
