ITV Loose Women's Carol McGiffin explains appearance change as fans concerned

Carol McGiffin was praised for her appearance "change" on today's Loose Women.

The panelist was joined on Thursday's edition of the ITV show by Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Nadia Sawalha. The panel interviewed Christine McGuinness and Sue Holderness on another jam packed episode.

However, Kaye addressed Carol's "drama" at the start of the episode as the panelist explained why she wasn't wearing make-up. She said: "Something has happened to my face.

"It actually looks like I've had some sort of cosmetic procedure and I've not told anybody but I haven't. Actually I just woke up and my face was like a tomato.

"A seriously red face, itchy so I've got no make up on because I thought if I put make up, it's just going to make it worse."

Kaye explained how Carol's condition had improved since she took an anti-histamine tablet. Fans following the show on Twitter sent Carol supportive message throughout the show after the update.

Dolly said: "Poor carol looks like allergy. hope you feel better soon X"

Sarah commented: "Good on Carol for carrying on regardless of her skin issue. Many wouldn’t and would have gone into hiding if even a spot appeared"

Cheryl said: "Good on Carol, women shouldn't have to coat themselves in make up, or feel like they have to"
