ITV Loose Women's Brenda Edwards taken to hospital as co-stars rush to support her

Loose Women's Brenda Edwards has been supported by fans after she shared a painful health update.

The former X Factor star has been touring the country as Mama Morton in the hit UK musical adaptation of Chicago. However, the panelist has revealed she has had to pull out of a show after she slipped on wet pavement.

Brenda shared a snap of her leg in a cast from hospital on Instagram and captioned the post: "I’m absolutely gutted that I will not be able to do my 2 shows today @chicagoonstage @wgbpl after slipping on a dodgy wet pavement here in Blackpool and fracturing my fibula.

"Trust me when I say I was ready to go on in a wheelchair to do my shows today, as there is nothing wrong with my voice but obviously for insurance reasons I can’t. I’m hoping when I get back home later I can get it sorted to rejoin the wonderful talented cast at some point next week in Sheffield. Love you guys."

Celebrity fans and followers rushed to support Brenda after the update.

Ruth Langsford said: "Noooo! Oh Brenda, you poor thing….sending you lots of love darling x x"
