Loose Women fans were quick to spot a missing star during its festive special. Friday's edition of the ITV lunchtime show (on December 23) saw Kaye Adams, Linda Robson, Dame Kelly Holmes, and Nadia Sawalha on the panel for the last show before Christmas.
After another show full of discussions, mainly light-hearted thanks to the festivities at this time of year, and a lot of teasing, the stars of the popular panel show marked the Christmas season with a musical performance. Kaye introduced a video of Coleen Nolan, Kéllé Bryan and Brenda Edwards begin the Christmas song with their impressive vocals.
The show's trio of singers were filmed giving their own version of Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree while donning sparkly outfits and dancing around in front of a festive scene.
And they were also joined by their co-stars who were filmed against the backdrop of various Chrismassy scenes dancing and mucking around. Dame Kelly, Nadia, Carol McGifin, Frankie Bridge, Stacey Solomon and Christine Lampard were just a few of the other presenters involved.
Charlene White, who recently starred in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, also joined in the fun along with Katie Piper, Denise Welch, Judi Love, and Janet Street-Porter. But Loose Women fans were soon noticing Ruth Langsford‘s absence and noted how she hasn't been on the show for a number of months.
Fans have been asking about Ruth's whereabouts on social media for a while. @aaabbb3 asked: "Where's Ruth?? #loosewomen." @RodrickSanchez0 said: "Where is @RuthieeL she hasn’t been on #thismorning since summer love Josie and Craig tho @thismorning - but why hasn’t she been on #loosewomen in a while @loosewomen hope she’s back soon and for the Christmas schedule as I’m missing Ruth #ruthlangsford is Ruth ok?"
Ruth has, however, been active on social media and recently shared a heartwarming video of her helping her mum celebrate her 91st birthday. But Ruth's absence from Loose Women appeared to begin when her husband Eamonn Holmes underwent surgery in a bid to help his suffering from chronic pain.
However, just a couple of weeks after the op, which came with "20 percent risk of going wrong", it was revealed Eamonn had suffered a fall during his recovery and had to undergo a second surgery after the accident left him with a fractured shoulder. Eamonn is now receiving rehabilitative treatment for his injuries, and doctors ordered him to rest for at least eight weeks.
And in more tragic news, late last month, Eamonn Holmes shared the heartbreaking news his mum, Josie, has died. The former This Morning star confirmed the sad news on Instagram alongside a photo of his mum before her death waving to him from her front door. He was then later unable to travel back to Northern Ireland in order to attend the funeral and had to watch via a stream at the Surrey home he shares with Ruth.
