ITV Loose Women Coleen Nolan shares one thing son Shane Jr banned at his wedding

Shane Jr explained what he banned at his wedding as he joined the Loose Women panellists to discuss his wedding day.

Over the weekend, Coleen Nolan's son, Shane Nolan, tied the knot to his long-term partner, Maddie Wahdan. He joined the Loose Women panel to give a full run down of the ceremony including preparations and last-minute jitters.

The 33-year-old said the day was the best of his life but Coleen was quick to note it was a bit of an uphill battle. She said: "Nothing was organised.

"I'd say 'So what's happening with this' and he'd go 'I don't know.' He must be the most laid-back person ever and I asked if they had their vows done and they said no." Shane admitted his attention was directed at the emotional aspects of the day and trying not to cry during the ceremony.

He said: "That was actually my biggest worry. I cry at literally everything but there's a moment [Maddie] walks through and she took my breath away. My goddaughters walked down so I was already on the verge so when she walked down... I cry at everything and I was concerned I couldn't stop."

Coleen vouched for his claims and admitted, from the moment she woke up, she too was emotional. As the conversation moved to entertainment, Shane said he was happy to have the day revolve around him and not "the Nolans for once."

During the wedding reception, Shane joked he was happy Coleen was away from the dance floor, but more so one of her chart-topping tracks wasn't present. Coleen enjoyed a lengthy career with her sisters - The Nolan Sisters - in the 70s and originated hits like I'm In The Mood For Dancing and Gotta Pull Myself Together.

Shane said he was thrilled none of their music was at the wedding as he didn't want anyone to be performing. Coleen was quick to snap back as she said: "I don't want to do it." Shane added: "It's banned. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I've heard it a million times."
