ITV In for a Penny fans all think they recognise contestant as famous singer

Viewers of ITV's In for a Penny were shocked to see what they thought was a very famous face on their screens tonight. Rob Derraven surprised fans of the show with his uncanny resemblance to Wales' very own Sir Tom Jones.

This week's show is filmed in Newport, where Rob is from. The unsuspecting Risca native pulled into the petrol station to fill up his car when he was spotted by Stephen Mulhern, who presents the show. During the game "Pump It Up", where contestants have to land exactly on the predetermined amount of petrol they are putting in their cars, Rob stepped out of his car and Stephen immediately made the famous connection, saying: "It's Tom Jones!"

Stephen asked Rob how he decided he was going to become 'a Tom' impersonator, to which Rob responded "I was on a TV show... I can't remember (what it's called) it was so long ago."

After a bit of pushing from Stephen to make it up, Rob decided the show was quite appropriately called "Sex Bombs of the UK". Rob and Stephen then took to the forecourt to perform Tom Jones' famous Sex Bomb, accompanied by the choreography of five star jumps and a roly-poly.

Rob sounded just like the Welsh superstar as he performed one of his best-known hits. Sadly, during the game, Rob failed to land on his estimate of £50, going over it by 13p. Stephen teased Rob's performance on his Twitter. He wrote "Warming up for tonight’s #InForAPenny in Newport with this sex bomb!"

And fans agreed. Serena shared a GIF of a panda with the comment: "The Tom Jones lookalike doing a roll"

Isabelle also couldn't believe that the lookalike did the roll saying: "HE ACTUALLY DID THE ROLY-POLY"

Gary Enfield said: "He sounds creepily like Tom Jones" while Sean added: "Can't believe Tom Jones is on In For A Penny"
