ITV I'm A Celebrity viewers left with questions over 'never seen' addition after Ant and Dec confirm 'show first'

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have left viewers baffled as they revealed an I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here first during the latest trip to the jungle. The Geordie duo were back on screens on Monday night (November 14) for another jam-packed episode which started with Matt Hancock taking on his sixth consecutive trial.

The former health secretary has been to the trial clearing more than anyone else so far this series, despite being a latecomer to camp alongside comedian Seann Walsh and only making his debut six days ago.

Viewers of the ITV reality show saw Matt, 44, take part in the Deserted Down Under challenge, which involved the MP for West Suffolk lying on his back in an underground pit as he attempted to unlock the valuable stars that were inside "hell holes" on either side of him.

Speaking after completing the challenge, which saw him secure seven out of 11 available stars while faced with spiders and cockroaches, as well as his biggest fear, snakes, Matt revealed what he used to get himself through the challenge, saying: “It was definitely the calmest I’ve been in a trial.

"I thought of my children, I thought of Gina, I thought of everybody I loved. I just tried to be calm." Matt was referring to his former political aide Gina Coladangelo, with whom he broke social distancing restrictions last year, ultimately leading to his resignation from his role as health secretary.

While Matt had the main challenge under his belt - again - fans were able to see Owen Warner and Scarlette Douglas get out of camp and try and win themselves and their campmates an additional treat. The pair were tasked with attempting to win the latest Dingo Dollar Challenge, entitled Jungle De Change.

They had to identify and count different currencies within a strict time limit but they failed to complete the challenge in the allocated time and therefore didn't get there hands on the Dingo Dollars. This also meant that they didn't even make it to Kiosk Kev, who has swapped his Outback Shack for a moving cart, nor did the other campmates get their usual phone call with that all-important quiz question that could have won them the additional food.

Following the failed challenge, co-host Dec confirmed: "An I'm A Celebrity first, the first time they haven't completed the challenge in the time available." But baffled viewers flocked to social media as they believe they spotted a change to the Dingo Dollar Challenge.

@_ellss_ asked: "Since when did they have a timer for dingo dollar challenges? #imaceleb." @billysackboy echoed: "#ImACelebrity #ImaCeleb WAIT THERE'S ACTUALLY A TIME LIMIT FOR THE DINGO DOLLAR / KIOSK KEV CHALLENGES?" @shroomxox replied: "THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IVE SEEN A TIME LIMIT (I swear it has taken some of them a whole day to finish them as well bc u will see them in day and then when they’re talking about it it’s night??)."

@issakennyfam tweeted: "I genuinely didn’t even know there was a time limit to the dingo dollar challenge, I just assumed they stayed until they got it or gave up #ImACeleb." @Caprisza posted: "Producers have taken away treats??? There’s never been a time limit on the Dingo Dollar Challenge! #ImACeleb."

@IrishLaurinah wrote: "Has there always been a time limit for the dingo dollar challenge cause that’s news to me #ImACeleb." @UltraGC_typed: "First time they’ve ever failed a dingo dollar challenge? Never thought I’d see the day #ImaCeleb." While @llewellynaine added: "The dingo dollar challenge not being completed for the first time like ever… excellent television, let it happen again!! #ImaCeleb."
