Matt Hancock certainly divided the nation during his time on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! - and when he left the camp he even had his girlfriend squirming. The serving MP was shown on his journey from the Australian jungle back to the hotel with partner Gina Coladangelo during a reunion show which was aired on ITV1 on Thursday, December 2, just days after Jill Scott was crowned this year's winner, beating both Matt and Hollyoaks star Owen Warner in the final.
During I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!: The Coming Out Show, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly showed the best bits from the series alongside interviews with the celebrities - including Boy George, Mike Tindall and Matt Hancock - as they came out of the jungle.
As they documented each celebrity coming out of the jungle one by one, showing their reactions to seeing their family and swapping the jungle for luxury, viewers saw third place contestant Matt, who caused shockwaves throughout the nation when he became a late campmate with Seann Walsh, reunite with Gina, who revealed that she had been "pleasantly surprised" to see him get to the final - an accolade she couldn't have predicted.

But before they reunited, Gina revealed: “I think it’s fair to say that Matt underestimated the scale of the reaction to him coming into the jungle", before adding how he was "made of tough stuff".
Catching up in the car journey on the way to the Marriott Hotel, where his fellow campmates were staying, Gina told Matt how she felt it took him a few days to settle into himself. Matt explained of the reasoning behind this, saying: "When I was being grilled in the early days, I felt like people were asking me on behalf of the British public. I knew going in it would be controversial but I also know millions of people have voted for me.”
Three weeks apart - which had been "awful" the pair stated - saw Matt serenade his girlfriend in the car home with a rendition of a song by his favourite singer - Ed Sheeran - and a clearly embarrassed Gina was seen laughing: "No, no, don't!" He then asked her: "Did I look cool doing the Terminator walk?" Pausing, Gina laughed heartily, causing the 44-year-old MP to say: "Is that a no?" Gina replied: “It was special.”
After the clip was shown, viewers flooded Twitter with their thoughts on the pair, their relationship - and Matt's singing skills, as it seems Gina wasn't the only one wanting him to stop.
@JessH41 wrote: "Why does Matt Hancock keep singing #ImACelebrity", while another @ncham65 said: "God that was embarrassing watching Matt Pillock singing to his partner. #ImACelebrity".
A third, @v1llan3v2, said: "i’m just sitting here wondering how matt managed to pull gina #imaceleb #imacelebrity".
