ITV I'm A Celebrity's Boy George appears to confirm 'feud' after snub

ITV show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here may have come to an end, but the drama in the wake of the series shows no signs of slowing down. Since Jill Scott was crowned Queen of the Jungle, social media has been abuzz with rumours of a 'feud' between certain campmates, following a group picture with some notable exceptions.

Now, according to Birmingham Live, 61-year-old campmate Boy George appears to have snubbed MP Matt Hancock after leaving Australia. Despite Matt following him on social media, the Culture Club star hasn't returned the favour. It's reportedly been the same with Sue Cleaver and the Conservative MP.

It hints at there being no love lost between the pair, after Hancock was targeted by George in a brutal rant days before the singer's exit. George told fellow contestant and comedian Seann Walsh that he thought Mr Hancock was "slippery", before apologising to the MP.

He said: "(I) can't stand Matt. I have tried to like him and I've failed. I find him slimy, I find him slippery.” Boy George then told the Bush Telegraph: "He's probably going to be quite upset and I was kicking off a bit and I just thought, 'you know what, just tell him to his face what you feel'."

The singer then said to Mr Hancock that he has been "hating on him". "I have to be honest. I sometimes feel like you don't say what you mean and you're not particularly direct," he added. He said he is "struggling" with the former health secretary, but added: "That's not your problem, that's my problem. I apologise because I was really slagging you off a minute ago."

Mr Hancock said he would prefer the truth and has "enjoyed spending time with" the singer. The former health secretary, 44, whose stint in the Australian jungle prompted criticism from the Prime Minister and MPs across the political spectrum, came third during the series finale on Sunday, claiming 21.7% of the initial public vote.

ITV I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here returns with bonus episode - and final edition - on Thursday night, from 9.15pm to 10.20pm. Ant and Dec present coverage of what happened to campmates of the 2022 contest since they left the Australian base.
