ITV I'm A Celebrity's Ant and Dec make 'awful' remark about Alison Hammond

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were quick to call Alison Hammond 'awful' - but not in the way people may think. The TV duo made the comment during their latest Instagram Live as they had a debrief with fans about the latest episode of I'm A Celeb.

The episode, which aired on Sunday night (November 20), saw campmates take on a Bushtucker trial, the challenge that saw the campmates trying to win their sought-after letters from home and the second elimination of the 2022 series. Campmate Scarlette Douglas became emotional after she was named as the next campmate to exit the jungle, reports Manchester Evening News.

The A Place In The Sun presenter, 35, was announced as the celebrity with the fewest votes by hosts Ant and Dec After the announcement Scarlatte was comforted by Mike Tindall as she cried over the news and upon leaving the Australian jungle, Scarlette told the ITV reality show's hosting duo: "I’m absolutely gutted I’m not even going to lie about it."

Elsewhere on Sunday’s show, November 20, the celebrities were offered the opportunity to win personal messages from their nearest and dearest. In order to achieve the prize, the campmates were split into three groups and tasked with balancing 10 blocks on a beam within 60 minutes. Those whose blocks were balanced at the end of that time would be awarded a letter from home.

Sue Cleaver, Boy George and Chris Moyles were up first but struggled initially, while Mike, Matt Hancock, Seann Walsh and Babatunde Aleshe seemed to have more luck with the task, but a lot of blocks still remained. Scarlette, Jill Scott and Owen Warner were the last group up with 37 minutes left to complete the challenge and they did - in just 14 minutes - and returned to camp triumphant with all 10 letters.

Former rugby player Mike and Lioness Jill also both put themselves forward for the Speak Uneasy Bushtucker Trial. The pair were challenged to drink 10 concoctions in a bid to win stars for camp with Tindall facing blended cockroaches and blended vomit fruit among his selection. Jill was also tasked with drinking blended fish eyes and blended snails among her five drinks.

But taking to Instagram after the show, chat once again turned to potential campmates for 2023. And it's fair to say some of the suggestions have been causing a bit of outrage - specifically from Ant - who hasn't been amused by I'm A Celeb viewers hoping the likes of Taylor Swift, Tom Hardy, Harry Styles, and Prince Harry would swap their lives of luxury for jungle life Down Under.

Dec read out a comment from one of their followers, which said: "Get Alison Hammond again," to which the presenter turned to his co-star and said: "She was awful the first time, do you remember?" Ant replied: "She was awful." He then asked: "Do you think she'd do it again? Because we've only ever had one person do it twice and that was Katie Price." He added: "Would it be good to get her again?"

But there was a suggestion that may have been outlandish, but Dec and Ant seemed quite welcoming. "We have been talking of Robbie during the series," Dec said after a follower asked if they could convince former Take That star Robbie Williams to take part in an upcoming edition of the popular programme. "You probably could suggest it..." Ant said before revealing he "loves the series".
