ITV I'm A Celebrity fans say Scarlette Douglas was 'robbed' after making same prediction

Scarlette Douglas was 'robbed' of her place in the jungle according to I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here fans after she became the second campmate to be eliminated. The A Place In The Sun presenter became emotional after her exit was announced by show hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

The presenting duo told camp that it was between Scarlette and comedian Babatúndé Aléshé, and Scarlette broke down in tears as she was comforted by campmate Mike Tindall after the eviction announcement was made. Her shock exit came 48 hours after Loose Women star Charlene White became the first person to leave the 2022 series of the ITV reality show.

Headed to speak to Ant and Dec across the bridge in their studio, the 35-year-old admitted: "I'm absolutely gutted I’m not even going to lie about it. I know that some people wanted to leave and I was like 'I'm not ready to go yet'. I wanted to stay for as long as possible because those people are amazing and the jungle is incredible."

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Monday morning (November 21), Scarlette joined Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley and shared her opinion on Matt Hancock's time in the jungle and her shock at uncovering Boy George's past. When asked if Scarlette herself liked Matt Hancock, the property expert and presenter said: "In the jungle, we will get on but it doesn't mean that on the outside we’ll be best mates at all but in here we’ll just work together as a team and that's all we can do.

"I like his get up and go, I like the fact that he has drive, I like that he is determined. I like that he won't give up anything and those attributes I like in general. So do I like Matt Hancock specifically… I don’t think I had enough time to really get to know him because when he came in, he was trying to win us all over. He was doing his best to make sure he was involved in everything but for me, it was just that I want to make sure as a camp we all get on."

She was praised by former This Morning presenter Richard for questioning Boy George during the show about his past conviction of assault and false imprisonment back in 2009. After the host noted the Culture Club star didn't appear impressed by her quizzing, Scarlette confessed: "I’m gonna be honest, I genuinely didn’t know [about Boy George’s previous allegations].

Scarlette appeared on the first edition of GMB of the week to discuss her I'm A Celeb exit (ITV)

"When he actually told me, I was quite shocked and I obviously wanted to delve deeper but he pretty much just shut it down and moved on. Of course, it’s his story to tell, it’s not mine. So if he doesn't want to talk about it, that's for him."

Following her elimination from I'm A Celeb, 'fuming' viewers flocked to social media to respond amid an apparent racism row. But fans were also gutted about Scarlette's exit after they made a prediction.

@Catchasalmon88 posted: "#ImaCeleb well it should not have been Scarlette. Expected her in the final 4." @Deni_Hens shared: "Ahhh. I wanted to see #Scarlette in the final. She seems such a nice sensible girl. #ImACeleb." @SarahSinclair29 added: "Gutted. Scarlette should of been in the final 3. Can't believe it #ImACeleb."
