ITV I'm A Celebrity fans say it's 'weird' as they spot major change to South Africa series and claim 'winner'

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here fans were left wondering if they had skipped a few months as the hit ITV reality series returned to screens - but with a twist. A bunch of previously seen campmates have been whisked off to South Africa where viewers will see them compete for 'legend' status.

Those who have headed for the new setting of Kruger National Park on the southernmost tip of the African continent is boxing champion Amir Khan; Diversity dancer and DJ Jordan Banjo; TV presenter Carol Vorderman; Olympic athlete Fatima Whitbread; Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan; former royal butler Paul Burrell; ex-England cricketer Phil Tufnell; supermodel Janice Dickinson and music legend Shaun Ryder.

And at the end of the first episode, there was a surprise arrival - Gillian McKeith. The arrival of the TV personality – who competed on the original I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010 – in camp for the all-stars spin-off show did not go down well with her fellow celebrities.

In the last few minutes of the first episode of this new series, Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly arrived saying they have a surprise announcement before leaving. Gillian, 63, was then seen emerging from the container after being brought in by several men carrying a box.

But I'm A Celeb fans were distracted throughout as they pointed out a series off differences between the usual series, which airs in November, and the brand new 'All Star' series - mainly the fact that this spring special isn't live. But due to the fact that it was filmed back in September, eagle-eyed viewers have pointed out a major change.

@RyanTheSoapking tweeted: "It feels weird not seeing the Australian clock on the edge of the screen. #ImACeleb." @vickysharp1 said: "Anyone else missing the clock in the bottom corner of the tv screen #ImACeleb."

Meanwhile, other fans think they know who will be crowned winner of the series, despite not being able to have a say themselves. @Meenz_xa said: "Shaun is already my winner #ImACeleb." @KayteeT1 commented: "Can we just crown Shaun the winner right now, I bloody love him #ImACeleb."

@WoWnut wrote: "Only one winner for #ImACeleb and it’s Shaun Ryder. Anyone else and it’s a fix." @shanbavsx posted: "Already decided Shaun Ryder is the 2023 South Africa Winner #ImACeleb." @SkylarTwisty added: "If this was a public vote then Shaun would be the winner hands down. #imaceleb."
