Fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here are set to be spoilt as not only are they getting a new series very soon, but they'll have two next year. The much-loved ITV reality show is set to return to Australia later this year following two years of being filmed in Wales due to the pandemic.
But last week, the show's hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly finally put truth to the rumours that there WILL be a new special series of I'm A Celeb. Next year, viewers will get to see an I'm A Celebrity 'All Stars' series which the hosting duo have been filming in South Africa.
They confirmed that the new series, which they described as the 'worst kept secret in television' will see a line-up of all old I’m A Celeb contestants and now the 15 celebrities set to take part have reportedly been revealed.
Revealing the news about the spin-off series on Twitter last week, the show's hosts wrote: "South Africaaaaaaa! That’s right, we’re filming a very special version of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa which is coming to your tellies in 2023."
Among those reportedly trying to be crowned the ultimate King or Queen of the jungle are Coronation Street's Andy Whyment , who took part in the show in 2019 where he was a close runner-up to former EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa , former soap star Helen Flanagan , who appeared on the ITV show ten years ago, and former winner Joe Swash who has been away filming for weeks.
The Sun reports that Gillian McKeith, Carol Vorderman, Georgia Toffolo, Janice Dickinson, Myleene Klass, and Fatima Whitbread have also flown out to the new camp. Also among those reportedly having a second go at the show is Phil Tufnell, Amir Khan, Paul Burrell, Jordan Banjo, Dean Gaffney, and Shaun Ryder.
A source told The Sun: "It's a different format to Australia, who knows when and where celebrities will enter camp, literally anything could happen. It's not clear how many will start in camp or how many will be there by the end when one is crowned King or Queen of the jungle, possibly for a second time.
"It's the best of I'm A Celebrity, quite literally, but there's some twists and surprises along the way for viewers and campers so it's not going to be as straightforward as they might think."
The line-up, however, hasn't been confirmed by ITV. Good Morning Britain's entertainment editor Richard Arnold spoke about the rumoured line-up of famous faces on Wednesday's show (September 28) but said the broadcaster won't confirm who is taking part until closer to the transmission date which will be next year.
