ITV Good Morning Britain viewers want Kate Garraway to 'stop going on' about Harry and Meghan

Good Morning Britain viewers were not happy after Friday's episode of the ITV breakfast show.

Hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray were chatting about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the fact they had secretly flown to the UK to meet with the Queen and Prince Charles at Windsor Castle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who now reside in Los Angeles after quitting the UK in 2020, flew in yesterday from the US for the face-to-face with the monarch at Windsor Castle.

The couple also saw Harry's father, the Prince of Wales, during the quick stop trip on their way to Holland for the Invictus Games, writes The Mirror.

The couple, who snubbed the chance to attend the late Prince Philip's memorial service last month, smiled and waved at the stunned onlookers.

As Kate hosted the show alongside Adil, she referred to the reunion as "breaking news" and also GMB's "top story".

But viewers tuning in at home were not impressed.

Some were reminding the presenters that there were more important topics to be covered at the moment.

"@kategarraway and @adilray Are we going to have #HarryAndMeghan all damn morning? NOBODY IS INTERESTED! Just drop it! #GMB." one person fumed.

Another tweeted: "@GMB do us all a favour & stop going on about harry & meghan #gmb."

A third person posted: "There’s a war in Ukraine yet the first headline was Harry and Meghan. Who cares about them they are irrelevant. #GMB."

And a fourth viewer joked: "#GMB Breaking News: Man takes wife to visit his granny."

Someone else tweeted: "Been watching #GMB for almost half an hour and it has been 80% about a man going to visit his grandmother."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV Hub.
