ITV Good Morning Britain viewers spot moment Martin Lewis breaks serious character

Strictly Come Dancing could be picking up the phone in anticipation of the 2023 series after Martin Lewis broke his usual serious character on Good Morning Britain. The money-saving guru was back fronting the ITV news programme today (September 21) alongside Susanna Reid.

Martin is supposed to be appearing on GMB every Monday throughout September as part of the show's 'Money Mondays' amid the cost of living crisis. The show aims to offer viewers the most up-to-date information regarding the rising energy costs while also "holding politicians to account".

However, due to changes in planned programming following the Queen's death earlier this month, Martin has been on-screen today and last Wednesday to offer viewers advice.

But it wasn't all money-related as the usual news headlines and entertainment interviews also played out on the news programme. And it even saw Martin enjoy a bit of a boogie which was captured on camera as the show headed to a break.

Robbie Williams' track Millennium was played in the studio as Susanna, 51, said: "Still to come, Richard has all the entertainment news." Richard Arnold then said: "Yes, somebody who has never regulated themselves knowingly - yes, it's me and Robbie Williams, we are back to entertain you."

He went on: "Find out how I managed to get an invite to the signature star-studded 50th birthday party. It's a while off and I'm not going as a guest. All of that and more to come after the break."

As the former Take That star's hit track got louder, Martin, 50, was seen dancing as Richard also had a bit of a jiggle while heading over to the desk in the studio. And it didn't go unnoticed by GMB viewers.

Martin did a bit of moving and grooving on the ITV show (ITV)

@NitaTennant tweeted: " @MartinSLewis loved the bit of dad dancing on GMB!!" @teenamassam laughed: "Martin Lewis doing some dad dancing to Robbie Williams…#gmb." @ruthy174 posted: "@MartinSLewis loved your dancing on #gmb when you thought the cameras had gone to a break, @RichardAArnold was even funnier lol. Great start to the day as always." @AnnaAnnabell71 wrote: "@MartinSLewis @RichardAArnold love the dad dancing on @GMB."

And Martin clearly saw what people were saying as he addressed the dancing on social media. He tweeted: "If you're wondering why the dancing. I needed to nip out for a comfort break during the commercials, got up too soon while still in shot, so thought no choice but to get my groove on..."

But he needn't have worried as fans saw the funny side. @yatesangie said: "Don’t have to explain dancing Martin! Always a joy!" @cogsie43 replied: "When you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go - So go in style!!" @Pamela1413 wrote: "And grooved you did Mr Lewis ….sassy."
