ITV Good Morning Britain viewers 'joobed out' as they're divided over Jubilee coverage

Some Good Morning Britain viewers claim they are 'Joobed out' after the show dedicated its entire programme to the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Adil Ray was back at the helm of the ITV news show and he was joined by Ranvir Singh who returned to the GMB studio after spending the rest of the week covering for Lorraine Kelly.

The last episode of the week on Friday (June 3) saw the hosts chat to royal experts, commentators and royal fans following the first day of celebrations on Thursday (June 2) with the traditional Trooping the Colour which saw a military parade before senior members of the royal family, including the 96-year-old monarch, took to the Buckingham Palace balcony.

At one point they chatted about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's appearance at the event which was caught in a couple of photos where the couple were talking to the children in front of window looking out onto the balcony.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are now based in the US, returned to the UK for Harry's grandmother's celebrations and were seen at the palace after not taking part in the Trooping the Colour parade. Harry and Meghan were pictured shushing and laughing with Savannah Phillips and Mia Tindall through the window.

As Adil spoke with Ranvir and their guests about the spotting of the couple, the 48-year-old giggled as he said: "It reminds me of when you’re at a party and no one talks to you so you have to talk to the kids." Putting on a voice, he added: "It's that thing of, 'Hello kids! Auntie Meg here!'"

Later in the show, Adil and Ranvir got into the Platinum Jubilee spirit by heading outside the television studio to their "street party" with them chatting to the make of the official Jubilee pudding as well as others taking part in a Big Jubilee Lunch this weekend. There was also music and dancing.

But not all GMB viewers were impressed. @JFAIRU0 complained: "@GMB Here’s another idea as a news program(sic) why don’t you actually put on some news and stop going on about the Jubilee and The Royal family." @Itt39354118 asked: "Any news? #GMB."

@oldandfat5705 commented: "Sorry I'm all Joobed out #gmb." @TallAndFirey wrote: "Good grief this is a load of sycophantic drivel #Gmb." @Itt39354118 shared: "Crikey they are jubilee mad #gmb."

Others, however, didn't agree. @benshatliff tweeted: "@ranvir01 @adilray I’m watching as I enjoy @GMB and enjoying the Jubilee Coverage." @fanoftv shared: "What a warm, celebratory and uplifting programme this morning’s @gmb was to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. The programme is fantastic when handling events like this, with a fantastic use of correspondents and features from pigeons to puddings with the perfect wet weather advice."

@djleekee replied in agreement: "Yes both @gmb and @thismorning have had real watchable coverage of the Jubilee. I keep flicking over to bbc1 but the vibe feels a bit dated now." @chibba_chris added: "All this #Jubilee stuff is so lovely to see happy #JubileeWeekend everyone #GMB."
