Viewers who tuned into Good Morning Britain on Monday (July 25) were taken aback by a strange detail they spotted during an interview on the ITV breakfast show. Former Labour politician Ed Balls and presenter Charlotte Hawkins were back at the helm of the TV programme bringing viewers the latest headlines.
Charlotte Hawkins is currently stepping in for Susanna Reid after she announced she was taking a break from the show earlier this month. The 51-year-old broadcaster revealed viewers would be left in the capable hands of "a wonderful team over the summer" whilst she took her annual holiday.
During Monday's show, Ed and Charlotte spoke about the NHS staffing crisis putting patients at risk, the travel chaos for holidaymakers queuing for hours to cross the channel, and the latest movement in the Tory leadership race ahead of Monday night's debate.

Former conservative MP Edwina Currie joined the show live from her basement in the Peak District as she was quizzed by the presenters on whether Boris Johnson has 'checked out' already in his final weeks after stepping down as Conservative leader.
This comes after Labour MP Lisa Nandy accused the Prime Minister of 'clocking off' after he failed to attend a Cobra meeting on the UK heatwave and was instead seen taking part in military training with Ukrainian troops in the UK.
Despite the allegations the 75-year-old defended the Prime Minister as she told Ed and Charlotte that the claims are "complete rubbish."
Charlotte asked Edwina: "He's checked out hasn't he? Isn't he just kind of winding down living his best life and making the most of it?".
The former MP responded: "There's an idea that somehow if the Prime Minister isn't actually sitting in his seat in the Cabinet office nothing is happening and that is complete rubbish. There are all sorts of other people in Whitehall and in the Ministries who are busy doing the jobs. You're never not covered."
Charlotte then interrupted: "But the country still needs to be run. There are a lot of big issues going on at the moment."
Edwina then hit back: "There's a myth put around by socialists that the Prime Minister and the Government run everything and are responsible for everything and that's not true. We need less Government and we need more trusting people to make intelligent decisions on their own behalf."
But despite the debate going on between the presenter and politician, GMB viewers couldn't concentrate as they were distracted by some strange sights behind Edwina.
The former Health Minister had a life-size cardboard cut out of Boris in her home as well as an unsightly mask.
@MattCarrick5 said: "Has Edwina Currie actually got a bojo cardboard cutout in her gaff? What an absolute throbber"
@kevinsm17554523 wrote: "Is Ms Currie for real? Is that a Boris standee in her kitchen? I bet she’s got a inflatable John Major too."
@boulter_jean tweeted: "A cut-out Johnson-for goodness sake that isn’t normal is it?" as @Maz_sharps added: "Edwina Currie, I have no words."
@tammilne61 tweeted: "Edwina Currie with he giant cut out of #BorisJohnson in the background on @GMB is just weird."
