Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid has announced she is taking a break from the show. It was a statement made live on air yesterday, Wednesday, July 14.
However, before fans worry too much, the broadcaster added that it was merely her "last day for the summer". As she presented the ITV show alongside Ed Balls, the 51-year-old broadcaster revealed she was taking a holiday but would be leaving "you in the capable hands of this wonderful team over the summer."
Ed questioned if she was "renting a beach hut" to which she replied "may be" . In her statement she said she wanted to say goodbye to everyone. She went on: "So just want to say thank you to everybody but I leave you in the very capable hands of this wonderful team over the summer."
Good Morning Britain regularly rotate the line-up of its presenters. This morning, Thursday, July 14, it was clear who had replaced Susanna on the show.
Ranvir Singh was back at the helm alongside Ben Shephard. The pair opened the show prepared to bring the latest news headlines, debates and entertainment features that viewers are used to seeing when they tune in on a weekday.
