ITV Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh praised for 'spot on' interviewing of MP

Good Morning Britain host Ranvir Singh was praised for her cross examining skills on the ITV show on Wednesday morning, as the rage over PartyGate fumes on in the UK.

Ranvir was commended for her interviewing skills as Transport Secretary and Conservative MP Grant Shapps appeared on the morning programme to defend Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The debate got heated on the ITV programme as the Tory MP tried his best to defend the Government's actions of breaking the coronavirus lockdown rules by attending Downing Street parties.

A statement was released saying: "The Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer have today received notification that the Metropolitan police intend to issue them with fixed penalty notices.

“We have no further details, but we will update you again when we do.”

The Transport Secretary was on the show on Wednesday morning, claiming that Boris "didn't actually know that he was breaking the rules at the time" - which host Ranvir did not agree with.

And viewers of Good Morning Britain were in agreement with the television presenter, as they flocked to social media to sing her praises.

One Twitter user said: "@ranvir01 doing a superb job this morning. She’s saying it and not allowing us to be gaslighted into thinking the party was acceptable! #GMB"

Another wrote: "@ranvir01 doing a fabulous job, and so emotional. You interrupt as much as you like (shame they're not hearing you!). @GMB #GMB #ToriesOut #ToryScum #GeneralElection2022 #GeneralElectionNow #DontVoteTory"

A third said: "Ranvir's anger was palpable during that interview. Good on ya, Ranvir, don't let these b******* wriggle out of this. "He paid the fine, 50 quid.." Oh well, that's alright then. Jesus f****** christ #GMB"

And a fourth wrote: "You're not interrupting #RanvirSingh you're doing your job. No fluff and nonsense. Keep up the good work #GMB"

Further comments read: "@ranvir01 was not happy there! Interrupt to your hearts content, they need to be held to account! #GMB", and "@ranvir01 @GMB Girl interrupt all you like and some more when Govt are spouting absolute rubbish like‘ he didn’t know it was illegal’ #GMB"

Good Morning Britain resumes on Thursday, April 14 on ITV from 6am onwards.
