Martin Lewis will join Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain on a permanent basis, two years after Piers Morgan infamously stormed off set and quit the presenting role.
The award-winning journalist and Money Saving Expert founder will start his duties in a little under a week's time - bringing a tax year end special to the ITV staple come March 29.
Martin has occasionally stepped in to present the show alongside Susanna on Wednesday mornings since Morgan's departure, and is looking forward to kickstarting his new role with the broadcasting Goliath.

The Mirror Reports Martin said: “To have the ability to hold politicians to account, over the cost of living, is a privilege and a responsibility. It’s a slight gear change from my usual work, but after years of answering complex questions, it’s nice for once to be asking them. So I was delighted when ITV offered me the role of regular presenter.
“The difficulty came with working it around my day-job, as Money Saving Expert, which is always my priority. So I’m hopeful the solution we’ve come up with, to lock in a dozen special shows a year, sitting alongside Susanna Reid’s brilliant journalism, is one the show’s viewers will welcome.”
Susanna, added: “Martin Lewis is undoubtedly the voice of the nation when it comes to the cost of living crisis. Together we will continue to challenge politicians and hold them to account.
"I can’t wait to have him sitting next to me again at the GMB desk from next week.”
Together the pair are set to hold politicians to account while asking the tough and gritty questions which the public want answered. They'll also hear directly from viewers at home through live phone-ins to the studio.
Emma Gormley, Managing Director ITV Daytime, added: “As Good Morning Britain continues to answer the questions the nation wants and needs answering each weekday morning, we’re thrilled to welcome Martin Lewis as a regular co-host.”
The announcement comes two years after Piers stormed off the ITV set after being called out by colleague Alex Beresford for comments made about Meghan Markle. In a clip seen by millions on YouTube, Alex says: "Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don't think she has, but yet you continue to trash her."
The confrontation spurred Piers to walk off set, and shortly afterwards the presenter would announce that he would not be returning to the breakfast programme.
After Piers walked off, Alex would go on to say: "This is absolutely diabolical behaviour. I'm sorry, but Piers spouts off on a regular basis and we all have to sit there and listen. 6.30 to 7 o'clock yesterday was incredibly hard to watch."
