ITV GMB’s Richard Madeley Stuns Viewers with Urgent Announcement as Star Steps in Last Minute!

Monday’s Good Morning Britain had a noticeable absence, as viewers quickly spotted a regular face missing from the lineup. Entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold was nowhere to be seen, leaving hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid to explain his absence.

Richard Madeley kicked things off by addressing the change, letting fans know that Arnold was off “on his jollies” and wouldn’t be joining them. But in true GMB fashion, they had a surprise up their sleeve—bringing in a well-known face from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! to step in for the day, reported the Express.

“As we said before the break, we have brought in someone very special to replace Richard Arnold,” Madeley announced. “Because he’s away on his jollies at the moment, our entertainment correspondent today is a fantastic dancer, he loves DJing, he adores Carol Vorderman, and has so got the hots for Carol.”

Cue the big reveal—stepping in for Arnold was none other than Melvin Odoom! The TV presenter and DJ, who took part in last year’s I’m a Celeb, was given a warm welcome before the show played a throwback montage of his time in the jungle.

Before handing over the reins to Melvin, Madeley hyped up the moment, teasing viewers with a fun introduction. Meanwhile, Melvin was clearly thrilled to be there, giving an excited response before taking over the segment. “Hey guys, thank you so much. It’s great to be here and I’m so excited, I can’t lie,” he said, stepping into his temporary role with enthusiasm.

The unexpected lineup change certainly added a bit of fun to Monday’s show, and fans were quick to react to Melvin’s takeover. While Richard Arnold was missed, it looks like his stand-in brought plenty of energy to the GMB sofa!
