ITV GMB's Charlotte Hawkins urges drivers to 'be careful' around Adil Ray

Charlotte Hawkins joked drivers should "be careful" around co-host Adil Ray on today's Good Morning Britain.

The presenters of the ITV morning talk show were discussing a new app on Thursday's episode. Speedcam Anywhere is an app which turns your smartphone into a speed camera, making it easier for people to report dangerous driving on the roads.

Adil thought it was an excellent idea, claiming he would happily 'snitch' on speedy motorists. However, Charlotte seemed to be more on the fence.

Introducing the app, Adil asked: "Would you snitch on speeding drivers? A new app allows you to do just that." He directed his words to Charlotte as he said: "I'm guessing you're the kind of person who wouldn't snitch?"

She replied: "All I can say is your neighbours need to be fearful. You're already planning who you're going to snitch on in your road." He laughed as he said: "Look, I think it's a menace. There's people driving too fast by schools and there's accidents. So I think it's great."

Charlotte asked: "But is this the right way to do it though? It doesn't even lead to a prosecution." Adil laughed as he responded: "Yeah! I've always wanted to be a traffic police officer." Charlotte spoke to the camera, as she said: "Be careful driving around Adil!"

Former lead investigator of road traffic collisions, Harry Tangye, appeared on the show to speak of the dangers of speeding. He explained he used to be a police officer and "stopped counting after 150 fatal road traffic collisions." He said the days of driving fast are gone as people will be caught out by technology sooner or later.
