Emmerdale fans think they have worked out how Caleb and Nicky's plan will 'crumble' - but it won't be because of the baby monitor. Earlier this week, viewers of the ITV soap predicted that the piece of tech would be the key to Kim Tate finding out what her new business partner and Home Farm's nanny are up to.
It was revealed to viewers last week that Caleb and Nicky are actually father and son and not only that, Caleb, played by Will Ash, is actually the "illegitimate" son of Frank Tate, Kim's late ex-husband. And it quickly became clear why Caleb was so interested in Home Farm as he plans to get his hand on what he believes is his birth right and has even got Nicky, played by Lewis Cope, planted within the family.
During Wednesday night's trip the village, Emmerdale viewers saw Nicky overhearing more of Kim's conversations through Thomas' baby monitor. Previously thinking his snooping through the guise of being the family's nanny could backfire, @jojobear_82 tweeted: "I reckon the baby monitor will be the downfall of Caleb and Nicky #emmerdale." @paulkop69 replied: "Haha I just said the same thing." @JeanieThePixie wrote: "Someone is going to overhear Nicky talking to Caleb over the baby monitor #emmerdale." @page_lace30 added: "That baby monitor is a big clue to what will happen, #emmerdale."

But this may no longer be the cause of his and his dad's downfall like fans first thought. After overhearing Will Taylor sharing his concerns about Caleb, Nicky raced to tell his dad but couldn't initially reach him due to him spending time with new love interest Leyla Harding, leaving Nicky frustrated.
Nicky had already warned him against Leyla in scenes aired last week when their father and son relationship was exposed and told him to dump her, saying their plan had to come first. When he did eventually get to speak to his dad, Nicky was told off for meeting him out in the open.
And at that point, it appeared Nicky had had enough, warned Caleb about what Will had said and that he needed to focus, suggesting he was about to lose Kim's trust and cost them everything. Caleb soon turned on his son and told him he was winding him up, and that he needed to do as he was told.
But as the pair clashed, it became clear that tensions between the pair could end up exposing them once and for all. @itzzzo_ said: "Nicky will be Caleb's downfall. #Emmerdale." @Wee_Westie29 predicted: "Nicky is going to turn on his dad. #Emmerdale."@Jamie27A_ wrote: "This plan from Nicky and [Caleb] is going to crumble. #Emmerdale."
@Charlotte_K13 tweeted: "Nicky is starting to let his mask slip. That outburst at Caleb up at Home Farm seemed out of character for him, and his attitude towards Billy when he asked him to take the kids swimming. He needs to be careful or he and Caleb's plan will fall apart #Emmerdale."
