Emmerdale viewers were distracted as Marlon Dingle returned to the Woolpack.
The character, played by Mark Charnock, has been away from the fictional pub since he suffered a stroke. Marlon is engaged to Rhona Ghoskirk and Vanessa Woodfield suggested the two throw a party.
Marlon was initially hesitant but was reassured by Paddy Kirk that the party is a good idea as he continues his recovery. The chef received a rapturous applause from the guests as he issued a heartfelt tribute to Rhona.

The party was in full swing as famous faces from the Woolpack pub gathered for an evening of fun at the Woolpack. However, Marlon was upset and decided to leave the bash.
He later told Rhona he wants to delay the wedding to allow him to recover so the two can enjoy a first dance after the ceremony. Viewers following the show on Twitter were distracted throughout the gathering as they pointed out how many of the characters were together in the Woolpack.
The production of the show was hit as social distancing regulations were implemented on set so the number of characters on screen has been limited since the pandemic.
Fans took to the social media platform to point out the change.
Kelly said: "This is the busiest I’ve ever seen the Woolpack."
Jamie commented: "Nice to see a busy pub. Can we get that for non-parties now please?
Doreen added: "The Woolie has people in it and there is more than FIVE!!!! It might even be double figures!"
Sophie posted : "A party! With more than 6 guests! A proper Dingle Do!"
