ITV Emmerdale viewers distracted by problem as Tracy Metcalfe makes surprise return

Emmerdale viewers were distracted as they spotted a problem on Tracy Metcalfe's return.

The character, played by Amy Walsh, has not been seen in the village since the soap's 50th birthday celebrations last October. She quit after Nate Robinson had an affair and left with her daughter for a new life in Nottingham.

Spoilers had revealed she was set to return to our screens in tonight's episode as she was spotted wearing a wedding dress outside the Registry Office. Nate headed down to the registry office, which concerned Nate and Moira Dingle.

The characters kidnapped Nate in a bid to save him from doing something he regretted as they were convinced the character was going to crash Tracy's wedding. However, a shock twist revealed the two were actually getting married and had rekindled their romance while Tracy was away.

However, viewers following the show on Twitter were baffled by the abrupt development and wondered when Nate found the time to rekindle the romance with Tracy.

Carol said: "So, we've been seeing Nate moping about in the pub but somehow he's been spending time in another area rekindling his romance!"

Matthew added: "Oh my god! How the hell did we end up with Tracy marrying a random to Chuck marrying her and Nate in the space of an episode!"

Garry posted: "She was gonna marry Nate, I’m sorry what?!"

Eli posted: "Nate has barely even been a character since Tract left, he wasn't much of one before either but we're just meant to believe he and Tracy have been back on in secret and decided to get married"
