ITV Emmerdale viewers distracted by 'Coronation Street legend' as Dan Spencer arrested

Emmerdale viewers were distracted as they spotted a Coronation Street legend in tonight's dramatic show.

Wednesday's visit to the Yorkshire Dales continued to explore the fallout after Amelia Spencer was targeted by a stalker. The character, played by Daisy Campbell, achieved influencer fame with her role at Mandy Dingle's salon.

This led to unwanted attention from stalker, Lloyd, who has developed an unhealthy obsession with her. Dan Spencer has attempted to defend his daughter from Lloyd's advance as he lurked around the fictional Yorkshire village.

Dan thought he had finally convinced Lloyd to leave for good after Amelia had blocked his number. However, the character returned in tonight's episode as he cornered Amelia in church as he attempted to explain his sinister behaviour.

Lloyd provoked Dan afterwards and said there's nothing he could do to prevent him from seeing his daughter. Dan reacted and landed a knockout punch on Lloyd after the fiery exchange.

However, Lloyd was in a critical condition after he hit his head on a rock. Dan couldn't live with his action so confessed to the police at the end of the episode and was led away in handcuffs.

Officers were questioning witnesses in the village before Dan decided to own up to what he had done. Viewers following the show on Twitter were distracted during the dramatic scene as they were convinced one of the extras was Coronation Street villain, Pat Phelan, who was played by Connor McIntyre.

Mick said: "That extra was Pat Phelan."

Pete added: "That bald geezer looks like Pat Phelan"
