Emmerdale viewers were taken aback by a character's unexpected return.
Monday's episode of the long-running soap continued to explore the fallout of Mackenzie Boyd's affair with Chloe Harris. Mackenzie has tried to keep the affair secret from his partner Charity Dingle, who he married in last week's episodes.
However, Chloe became pregnant with Mackenzie's child and gave birth last week. The character, played by Jessie Elland, has struggled since she welcomed her child and was worried she wasn't up to being a mum.

She received some words of encouragement from Amy Wyatt, who said everyone struggles initially. Chloe's onscreen mum is Kerry Wyatt, who is played by Laura Norton.
Laura is currently on maternity leave after she gave birth to her daughter last November. However, her character Kerry made an unexpected appearance in tonight's show when she Facetimed Chloe to offer her words of support.
But, fans following the show on Twitter were taken aback by Kerry's earlier-than-anticipated return to the drama.
Mike said: "Ooh @lawrencenotrin made an appearance tonight"
Page added: "Kerry has popped in great to see her"
Jamie commented: "Should have warned us we'd see Kerry today"
Other fans were confused as they were convinced they spotted a blunder.
Ann posted: "Correct me if I'm wrong but was the phone muted on #Emmerdale when Chloe was talking to Kerry? On Facetime?"
