Emmerdale star Rebecca Sarker is joining a new ITV show alongside a host of famous faces.

Rebecca Sarker, 47, who plays Manpreet Sharma in Emmerdale, will be appearing in new ITV contest The Games. It will see celebs trained by some of the UK's top coaches to take on a host of challenges.

The Games will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff. Former footballers Alex Scott and Chris Kamara, a former Leeds United star, will be reporter and commentator respectively.

Rebecca will be joined in the contest by Coronation Street stars Colson Smith and Ryan Thomas. Others taking part will include presenter Olivia Attwood, influencer and model Phoenix Brown and ex-Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton.

The celebs will continue to battle it out in an attempt to rack up as many medals as they can. As the leaderboard takes shape with each night, the series will conclude with a final showdown in which one male champion and one female champion will be crowned.

Activities on The Games will include taking on challenges in the athletics arena, the swimming pool and the gym. There will also be a 100 metre sprint and diving.

Other celebrities on the show will be pop star Max George, Chelcee Grimes, Harry Potter actor Josh Herdman, model Christine McGuiness, newsreader Lucrezia and TV star Wes Nelson.

The Games is due to air this Spring. We’ll bring you more about the new series when we have further details.
