Emmerdale is usually broadcast at 7.30pm on each weeknight. However, ITV has amended the schedule in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death.
Her Majesty died at Balmoral on September 8 and ITV has made changes to its normal programming since then to make room for extensive coverage of the heartbreaking event. The coverage has impacted Emmerdale as the episode that aired tonight was initially supposed to be broadcast on Friday.

One user said: "Emmerdale has been on since 6 30pm what is going on"
Teena tweeted : "Wasn’t expecting to hear the #Emmerdale theme tonight. Runs to the tv."
Alex added: "Grandmother’s delighted that Emmerdale’s getting a surprising appearance on a Sunday"
Ryan posted: "Our Second Sunday visit to the village in 2 weeks WOW ain't we lucky."
