She has played Mandy Dingle for the best part of 27 years but there's way more to Lisa Riley than leopard print and the Dingle clan.
Lisa joined Emmerdale as Mandy, the daughter of Caleb and Vera-Lynn Dingle, in 1995 where she soon finds herself living with her uncle Zak and working at The Woolpack.
She then falls in love with local vet Paddy Kirk but is paid to marry her cousin, Butch, instead but ends up having an affair with Paddy and is disowned by her family when it was discovered.
And a leopard appears not to change its spots when, after eventually divorcing Butch and marrying Paddy, Mandy had another affair.
Her infidelity soon leads to her first exit from the village in September 2000. Mandy did briefly return in November 2001 but was gone again by the end of the same month.
Lisa agreed to reprise the role in late 2018 for a brief stint, but after another exit, in the summer of 2019 it was was announced that the Bury-born actress would be returning once again to Emmerdale on a permanent basis.
And it's fair to say it hasn't been quiet for Many in those almost three years.
Away from TV screens, however, Lisa has also suffered her fair share of heartbreak while also finding the love of her life.
The 45-year-old is engaged to her rarely seen partner Al.
Her man popped the question back in 2018 but the pair have been dating since 2014.
"Yes I can now confirm the rumours are true....I have got engaged..." Lisa said at the time. "My soul mate and best mate and love of my life Al is the best thing to have ever happened to me....we have absolutely NO date set for ANY wedding day, just happy together...zero fuss, just firmed our togetherness."
Back in January Lisa took to Instagram with a rare snap of the pair as they went on a romantic day out.
And she previously suggested they would tie the knot last year, telling the Mirror in 2020: 'I wouldn't rule out us getting married next year at all.'
But she also discussed how it would be "painful" to say 'I do' without her mother, Cath, in attendance.
Cath sadly died, in Lisa's arms at the soap star's home, from cancer in 2012, aged 57.
Over the years Lisa has been open and honest about her grief.
She told Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show in October: "I wanted to be unbelievably honest and tell the truth about what I go through daily.
"The uphill struggle I have massively with being judged. I have it on set with Emmerdale when I'm at work.
"Everyone knows me as having this fun, happy personality which is me. But the days I'm down, I find myself going, 'It's okay, it's okay' because I feel like I'm being judged.
"People are like, 'Come on Lise, it's been nine years - you should be over it by now.' Well no - it's as worse today as when mum initially passed nine years ago in July."
After losing her mum, former Strictly Come Dancing star Lisa suffered further heartache.
Lisa had been trying for her first baby along with her musician partner when she returned to the Dales in 2019.
She told The Mirror last year after signing a new Emmerdale contract: "I really struggled losing my mum and going through IVF but even at the end of it all I know how lucky I am.
"I have such an amazing partner who loves and supports me. I don’t have kids myself but my nieces and nephews are my world. I have a job I adore and have the most amazing friends and family.
"I feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin than ever before."
Lisa is also now teetotal after battling alcohol to try to cope with her overwhelming grief.
She told the One For The Road podcast: "I don't think that I would ever wear the badge and say, [I was] an alcoholic. I truly don't think I was.
"I think I was very very [dependent] on drink and as some people might take an antidepressant as it were, that was mine.
"It was my comfort blanket and I always say that."
Lisa, who celebrated six years sober in August 2021, has since launched a podcast to explore how people cope with loss.
Over the years she has undergone some major physical changes.
In 2016, Lisa decided she wanted to overhaul her diet and lifestyle for the sake of her health, the Mirror says.
Despite her bubbly personality, the TV star admitted dmitted she wasn't happy and went on to lose an incredible 12 stone - including 1.5 stone of excess skin which she had surgically removed.
The huge change saw him slim down from a size 30 to 14.
"People forget how gigantic I was. With the skin removal, I lost twelve stone, one pound," Lisa said.
