Emmerdale's Lewis Cope has been at the centre of the action in a dramatic week on the ITV show.
The actor is renowned for his role as Nicky in the fictional Yorkshire village. He has been key to Caleb Milligan's plot to seek revenge on Kim Tate and reclaim Home Farm.
Nicky is Caleb's son and he ordered him to court Gabby Thomas in a bid to get inside access to Home Farm. The character successfully wooed Gabby and the two were swiftly engaged as they embarked on a whirlwind romance.

However, Nicky was hiding his true sexuality as he continued to carry out his dad's bidding. Caleb's plan hit a stumbling block when Nicky fell in love with Ally, who said they should get married instead.
Nicky and Gabby were set to tie the knot this week but he couldn't hold the secret any longer as he confessed the truth to the character, played by Rosie Bentham.
The two actors appeared on Thursday's edition of Lorraine to speak about the dramatic storyline. Lewis revealed that his life away from the screen is, fortunately, less turbulent as he is in a happy relationship with his girlfriend, Rachel Maya Lopez.
The two regularly share updates from their life on Instagram and Rachel sent a sweet tribute to her partner last year. She said: "6 years of Dublin at Christmas with you. Wouldn’t have it any other way."
Rachel is a fellow performer and Lewis revealed how she helps him rehearse during a busy filming schedule with Emmerdale. He said: "If I've got a really heavy day, then my partner, Rachel, she'll help me fly through them."
Lewis first joined the cast last year but said he already feels like part of the family. He said: "It's strange because when you join you feel so new and then, after a week or so, you feel like you've been there for 10 years."
The actor hails from a talented family of sportsmen as he said many of his brothers are boxers. He said: "I've got two brothers who are current professionals, two who are ex pros and then one who is an amateur as well."
However, Lorraine was amazed when he surprisingly revealed he has 13 brothers and sisters. The Scottish presenter said: "Good grief, what is Christmas like at your house? It must be bedlam."
Lewis said he loved his large family and heaped praise on his mum for helping the children pursue their passions. He said: "My mum was really brilliant when we were younger and she would take us to all different classes and whatever stuck, stuck. For me, it was dancing and performing."
