ITV Emmerdale first-look as fans to see what really happened with Kyle and Al after shock murder reveal

Emmerdale fans were convinced Cain Dingle wasn't responsible for Al Chapman's death in scenes aired last week. And during Friday night's trip to the Dales' local prison, the ITV soap's viewers' shock theory was proven to be correct.

Last week Cain, played by Jeff Hordley, learnt of his sister's affair with his former enemy, Al. The pair are no strangers to coming to blows, however, they called a truce earlier this year when Al saved Cain's life following a car accident. But discovering his sister's secret relationship with Al during their mother's wake saw the reformed bad boy's old ways return.

He lured the shady businessman to a barn, with Al thinking he was meeting Chas. He was, however, confronted by Cain with a shotgun. The pair ended up getting into a fight and in a scuffle for the gun, a shot rang out and it was later revealed that it was Al who had been fatally shot, leading to actor Michael Wildman's exit from the soap.

Later, Cain pleaded guilty to Al's murder leaving his wife, Moira, and the rest of his family in shock. However, Emmerdale fans had already worked out that the character was covering for someone and floated the idea that it could be his young son, Kyle.

And on Friday night (November 4) the truth was revealed as an angry and upset Moira confronted her husband. As she told him that Kyle and their son Issac would need therapry to get over witnessing their dad arrested by armed police before confessing to murder. But a panicked Cain begged Moira to not let Kyle speak to anyone as he was the one who shot Al in cold blood.

It has now been revealed that Emmerdale fans will be shown exactly what happened in flashback scenes, to be featured in Monday night's episode (November 7). The audience will see the fateful moment that 10-year-old Kyle, played by Huey Quinn, became responsible for Al's death.

Kyle and Cain relive the events of Al's murder and distressed Moira, played by Natalie J Robb, breaks down as Cain argues he was doing what was necessary to protect his son. Cain watches as the woman he loves struggles with the devastating news. And fighting back the tears, Moira announces that the truth is worse than the lie.

Cain feels helpless as Moira struggles to keep it together. He is left uncertain whether he will be able to count on his wife to keep this massive secret. Meanwhile, Kyle's mum Amy, portrayed by Natalie Ann Jamieson, will also learn this devastating truth that could change her and her son's life forever.

Speaking about the storyline, Moira actress Natalia said: "Moira is shocked to the core by Cain's confession. I think deep down she knew something wasn't quite right but she had no idea that Kyle had been involved in the shooting. I think the audience will really sympathise with Moira's dilemma. She will do everything she can to keep her family together, Kyle may not be hers by blood but she sees him as her own. She has a lot of extremely difficult decisions to make."

"This is a fascinating story to play as there are so many twists and turns that will cause a ripple effect to other characters in the village that are not yet aware of the true circumstances. Moira, as a mother and a wife, has such a turbulent time ahead which is great as an actress to get stuck into."
