ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' massive twist as Leyla attends Meena's trial

Emmerdale fans believe Andrea may still be alive as Meena goes to trial for Leanna's murder.

As Meena pleads not guilty to the murder of Liam Cavanagh's daughter Leanna, tensions rise in the courtroom. Dr Cavanaugh's affair with Meena is also brought up, leading his wife Leyla to look on in embarrassment.

Liam admitted to being in bed with Meena but denied claims they slept with each other. He went on to say despite the fact he was drunk, he still loved his wife and was simply grieving his late daughter.

He was later accused of framing Meena for his daughter's death as revenge for Meena coming clean about their affair. He said: "I'm not lying, she is. She killed my daughter."

Viewers noticed Leyla's unusual behaviour in the stands as she watched her husband speak, with some speculating she may know more than she is pretending to. Several weeks ago, it is believed Meena killed Andrea Tate in a maize attack, but viewers never saw her body.

Fans now believe Andrea is not dead at all and is speaking with Leyla in order to appear at the right time to show how much of a monster Meena is. @Jess_xHx said: "I had a feeling there would be a twist, there usually is with #emmerdale and also that #Andrea isn’t really dead."

@deanobeanos also said: "Imagine if Andrea just bursts into the court room. #Emmerdale." @JordanPhelps21 added: "Leyla is definitely texting Andrea isn’t she #Emmerdale"

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
