It was a moment Emmerdale fans have been waiting for as Belle Dingle finally revealed Chas' affair with Al Chapman - albeit only to one person. However, fans are already predicting fireworks. The ITV soap character, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, actually discovered the affair months ago.
She discovered her business partner and family member's secret liaisons back in August but agreed to keep quiet for the sake of Chas' husband Paddy and daughter, Eve, but under the condition that Chas ended the affair. And while she tried, she didn't keep her promise and was soon running back into her former enemy's arms.
As Chas struggled to cope with her mum's terminal cancer diagnosis, she sought solace in Al and the pair even planned to run away together. Chas seemed more adamant than ever to go through with the plan following Faith's heartbreaking death, in which she decided to take her own life, with Chas missing the opportunity to be by her side due to her being in a hotel and spa with Al.

But there was more horror in the Dales when, after a catastrophic storm claimed the life of Liv Dingle, fans were led to believe that it was Chas' brother Cain shot Al in cold blood after he lured him to a barn upon discovering his secret relationship with his sister during their late mother's wake.
However, it was soon revealed that it was Cain's son, Kyle, who (sort of) accidentally shot Al and killed him. Cain has since took the rap for the crime and kept Chas' affair a secret.
That now looks set to change as Belle confronted Chas once more after trying to help Chloe Harris track down the woman Al was cheating on her mum Kerry Wyatt with. Realising the date matched the day Faith died, and the location was the spa Faith had booked to get her daughter away from the pub, a lightbulb went off for Belle.
She stormed over to The Woolpack where she confronted Chas, who made more excuses, while Belle threatened to finally tell Paddy the truth. But upon seeing the vet being a doting father with Eve at the swings, she couldn't go through with it.
Back at home on the Dingle's farm, Moira found a distraught Belle and whe asked if she was OK, a sobbing Belle told her: “I’m not, I’m really not, I’m sorry Moira. Everything’s just such a mess. I could’ve done something about it and I should’ve done something about it."
As Moira comforted her, the truth came spilling out. Belle told Moira; I found something out months ago, and I kept my mouth shut and I wish to God I hadn’t because if I spoke up everything would be so different.
"You know that Al was having an affair… it was Chas. And I caught them out and I confronted her about it and she promised me it was done - she swore blind. And then today I’ve found out she never ended it, it was her - she never ended it.
"She was going to leave Paddy and she was going to take Eve with her. I guess that Cain found out and that’s why he did what he did. If I’d just spoken out at the time then Al wouldn’t be dead and Cain wouldn’t be in prison."
While Emmerdale fans didn't get to see Moira react to the news, they're already predicting that all hell will break lose - and had the same prediction to make. @mishybabez tweeted: "Belle told Moira about Al and Chas' affair oh my gosh it's about to go down#Emmerdale."
@Sarah2022x posted: "Moiras face. Chas had better watch out!!! #Emmerdale." @notacIue said: "Hope moira gives chas a glasgow kiss #emmerdale." @mrsmcgarvey818 echoed: "Will we see Moira give Chas a 'gift from Glasgow' on Christmas!"
And there was also praise for Edan for her portrayal of Belle. @jason.buckby.9 said: "Belle is great character grown into a wonderful actress." @annsofie_svensson wrote: "Belle!!! Such an amazing actress!!" @UpinSpaceMan added: "Eden Taylor-Draper is a proper good actor. Amazing seeing as she’s been on #Emmerdale since she was about 5."
